Power steering pump on IS300 was really noisy..like a bad pump. Not unexpected considering mileage of 360k. Replaced pump. Noise still there. WTF? Check the power steering pump pressure sensor/switch on the pump. Plug saturated with gunk. Clean with contact cleanser. Pump quiet now. Sigh...guess it wasn't the pump.

First real issue cropped up on my LS today. When in reverse, got a warning on my dash to "Check Parking Sonar" showing center sensors. I'm guessing on of the rear sensor is toast. No biggie...apart from needing to remove bumper to replace. Hmmmm...might just shut off parking sonar for now.
How fast is my 911?  Supras sh*t on on me all the time...in reverse..with blown turbos  :( ...

Lucky you have a switch for that.  Damn Entourage doesn't!  Constantly beeping at me when backing up.  Haven't gotten around to removing all the sensors to see if it goes away.

Maybe it just needs cleaning... ;D

Found the coolant leak on the Outback, at first it looked expensive, but then I realized it was only spraying on the expensive parts from a upper radiator hose.  I ordered the leaky one at Subaru for $27,  there are 2 more at $27 each, probably should have ordered them too, but I didn't.  Should be in on Thursday.

While I have it in the garage I also detached the steering rack and realigned the steering shaft another spline to the right.  Hopefully 3rd times a charm, can't believe how much of a PITA this has been, at least I'm getting quicker.
Also remounted and balanced the slow-leaky summer tire for the Outback as I'll do the spring swap before it leaves the garage.

Removed the winters from the truck today. Put  new all season tires on the other set of wheels. The old tires were close to the wear bars.
The most i have spent on this vehicle so far.

I folded down the top on the MG today. Wow that was a lot more complicated to do properly than my old Spitfire! I need to have it warm up a little more before I get the cover on as it is a tiny bit tight.

Yeah, MGB's, especially those later style tops are notoriously annoying. The Spitfire, and just about every other car, is easier. The only car I can think of that's worse is the MGA - excluding Wranglers and the like.

Took the  Audi in for its first maintenance service, just an oil change and check over... first ones free,  so after one year/10,600 KM, $0 on maintenance  ;D although I will be going out and buying new wiper blades.

I'm Curious: when you take a car to a parking garage washing place do you pay for the parking and the cleaning? Or is there some sort of 2 for 1 deal?

Yep, pay for both... still only costs me ~$95 all in.

The lcd display on the trucks radio has been inoperative since i got it. You can play tapes and listen to the radio but makes it very hard to know which station you  are on.  >:( I guess it's understandable as it is the original radio.

So today went to  the Pick and Pull and upgraded to a  cassette cd player from a 2001 Pathfinder for 25 bucks. Easy install ,plug and play.

It's great to see the cars from the past in various stages of disassembly. There were a few Frontiers in there about the same vintage as mine.
They made  mine look mint by comparison. :D

Poured in the 0° summer bug wash fluid. I like living on the edge  ;D

Got my all seasons back on the MDX and got oil changed. Maybe I'll find a good jack at a good price for next time around so I can try to do these things myself.

I masked and covered all the fiberglass parts of the Pop-up, then proceeded to spray the frame, bumper, hitch and stabilizer jacks Matte Black, to cover up all the rusty spots.  Looks good now.

Why Matte Black?  They were out of semi-gloss Rust-paint at Canadian Tire when I was there.  Matte Black actually looks quite good though.

Replaced the leaking rad hose on the Subaru, replaced burnt out low beam bulb, changed out the winter tires, changed oil and filter.
Good for the summer I hope.

I rebuilt the calipers recently. Steering rack has started to leak. No biggie there, I guess. Steering rack isn't prohibitively expensive.

But a fuel leak. It's at the junction just in front of driver side rear wheel. It's metal where all the fuel lines connect. Rusted. And it's a huge PITA to change.

I bet the truck is only worth $500...So sinking all this money into it doesn't make financial sense.
