Both the GLK and the TL have had their winter rubber installed.

You can feel it immediately on the TL, the helm is much mushier. But also more relaxed. Its actually sort of nice as the car otherwise has a bit of a knife edge to it all the time.

On the GLK despite downsizing from 20 (!!) to 17 (!!) I feel no real difference ;D
You can't just have your characters announce how they feel.
That makes me feel angry!

Replaced shock on the Forester. Very poor design. You have to remove brake line at the caliper to remove the shock. So not only do you need to remove the shock, but bleed the brake when done.

Stupid design...

Cleaned the interior yesterday, exterior and snows today.

Got one set of winter tires on before the rain started.   The other set will have to wait for another day.

Checked the torque on the nuts again after driving around a bit.

Took the SLK out for a run and in a fresh tank of 93 and some fuel stabilizer because it will get very minimal use through the next few months. Cleaned and conditioned the leather seats using some Zymol leather products (one of the best on the market IMO) and covered it up.

Cleaned the Altima after our Calgary Road Trip, and installed the new Blizzaks.  She's winter ready.

Spent Saturday morning attempting to replace Legacy headlight. Tried the "easy route" from top by moving battery out of the way. Not possible due to limited access. Sad to say had to spend 1 hour after first attempt by doing it the semi official way. I jacked front side of vehicle and removed wheel to get access to the wheel well cover and remove 9 push clips. Then using my best contortion skills
replaced the bulb and spent another 15min lining up protective seal cover. This has to be accomplished all by feel due to limited space.
Can't believe the difficulty required for what should be a simple task. Seems like the light access was an afterthought. Wife older Forester is so much easier.

On an easier note added my new Ezdrain Fumoto valve and got to test my new oil filter remover tool with success. Sadly this task was much easier than replacing my light bulb.

I see your Subaru has the same stupid clip system as my Mazda.   I feel for you brother.

^^^ The idiot that thought that removing a fender liner to get to the headlight bulb is ok should be publicly flogged. How hard is it to remove the headlights??
Lighten up Francis.....

Thought I'd be funny and post Japanese public flogging. Needless to say not what I had intended to find on Google images pertaining to the subject. So will have to refrain.  :popo:

Seems to me that Subaru's are not built with ease of repair in mind.  The 2nd story reminds me of a friend with a Lexus ES.  He needed to disassemble the entire front clip to replace one of the HID bulbs.  And, to replace the oil filter on my old Civic SI with the K20 engine, I had to remove the passenger side front wheel.  The old Chevy Epica that my wife used to have was a nightmare to find parts for.  In contrast, my old Ford Ranger was an absolute dream to work on.  Used (read: cheap) parts were plentiful, and it was very easy to work on.

Booked an appointment for the Honda airbag safety recall.  Must avoid deploying the airbag until then.

Yeah, I had to remove the fender to get to the marker light bulb on the Honda.  But I didn't have to for the lowbeam, even though it is in the same light housing.  Go figure.

I'm convinced Subaru uses German engineers...
