Moved one of my PCs to the garage, and the car in ( so the PC screen was not in blinding sunlight).
Used VCDS ( Vag Com) and set the interior ambient lighting on...only took 3 changes via the computer and 3 more on the infotainment "secret menu"   I liked the ambient lighting on the M-B when it gets dark I'll see how it looks on the Q5.

Also set the 'D' symbol to display the actual gear.

Chickened out from enabling the TPMS...looks as if the car has it and it is an option to enable it ( $350) but VCDS can do it for free..
Also chickened out from stuff like flashing the brake lights when doing a full rate stop and other stuff the car has but not enabled for NA.

So FWIW I have the uptodate VCDS cable for reasonably modern, post 1995,  VAG group cars ( including Bentleys!) but I do not have have a laptop so my willingness to have others use the cable ( which is the expensive licensed bit of VCDS) is limited  by that. Moving a desktop to and from the garage is a pain.

The most radical revolutionary will become a conservative the day after the revolution.

Maybe time to trade in TT for a black 911 C2S, and have fun before you get hit by a bus

Choosing a car based on reliability is like choosing a wife based solely because she is punctual. There is more to it than that...

Did a bunch of stuff to my car yesterday.  Fixed my headrest that was catching on my HANS, cleaned my undertray of debris and oil, emptied my overflow / catch can filled it with gas then did a string alignment.  All good to go!

Washed the cars and touch up painted the chips on the parts of the hood where the 3M film didn't cover.

On the weekend, washed the Speed (finally looks yellow again, lol) and cleaned the interior except the floors. Then wetsanded the carbon fibre hood and put on a coat of clear.  I still need to put on a couple more coats of clear, then more wetsanding, polish, then wax.  Hopefully, the finish will last longer this time  :-\

A friend of mine, who is a professional photographer, did a photoshoot of me and my Cobra.  Can't wait to see the pics...

Post them up when you get em.... :)

Here's the first one John has shared so far.  Should be more to come.

The HDR treatment kinda emphasizes the 3M stone chip film on the nose, though...

Great car, not so keen on the photo though, but that's just me.

How do you like this photo, just posted by John today?

Same here, waiting for the rain to start.  Damned birds made a low pass bombing run while I was on the highway.  They hit the bumper, hood and windshield.   I can't use the water hose today due to local outdoor water use by-laws but ok tomorrow.

Got an estimate to repair the damage to my Miata's front bumper, caused by some woman crashing into it while trying to get out of her parking spot.  Our cars were parallel parked on the street and she backed into mine.

At least she was kind enough to leave me a note, taking responsibility for the damage.  Not like the pr!ck who sideswiped my car more than a year ago and just took off.
