Finally, over the weekend the M got tucked into her jammies for the winter.  (Remind me again why we choose to live in a place where we can't enjoy our toys year round?  :'( )

Yeah, always a sad day draping the cover over.  :P

You guys worry too much.  They only got 722 km all winter last year.  Total driven on them is 48,349 km. They've been stored inside since day one (in the off season) and there's no cracking.  They're almost as soft as a cat chew toy still, too.  And they are some cheap Chinese branded kaka tire but they work awesome.  You'll love that I put the tire with the plug in the sidewall on the front this year!!  ;D

I might change that yet.  But then again it probably won't see much in km this winter either.

I put new summer tires on exactly 2 months ago...got 567 km on those so far. I could've milked the old ones...but I fear prices might climb so I figured Cdn Tire had a smokin' deal on and I was there getting the dog groomed (in the city)...so I jumped.

We're likely doing our cars this weekend.

I keep reminding myself (and will for the next several months) why I don't have a fun car will AWD.

I'm still eyeing Audi RS3s.

Friend of mine has an RS3, on 19" snows too.

Right...put the winter tires on the Fusion...so far this year...1678 km added to it's total.

Also...this was fun...yesterday I went to the card lock to fill it up...and I'm cleaning snow off the roof and all of a sudden I hear a water fall...WTF!!  :o :o :o Good thing I was just at the front door, but the damn pump didn't kick off and gas was just gushing out like Old Faithful.  Sunuvabitch!  Probably a good couple of litres on the ground.  Fack.

No grandkids around to give them the car ?.

Who, me?  I think my family name dies with my kids.  I don't think either will ever find a wife...not when they can live at home for free...and even if they did move out...I can't see it happening.

Wow, I never walk away from the pump. I've always thought that was dangerous due to static etc.

I was right by the driver side door.  I hadn't walked too far away.  It was windy enough I didn't notice until I heard gas splashing on the ground. 2 steps and I was there with a bunch of WTF!s and FFS's spoken aloud to no one.

Shouldn't be any more static if I was there or not - the mechanism was already in the car.  If it was going to explode, it probably would've done it.  Hmmm...probably worth more dead than alive anyway...the car I mean.  I know I am.  :o ;D

Life on the farm with bulk tanks. The 'hold mechanism' on the pump trigger was a carefully placed stick.

Usually diesel though, safer but pretty messy when it's cascading everywhere

New rear wheel bearings on the BMW today and a new rim for the winter set (didn't noticed one was bent and poorly repaired when I got them). All smooth and quiet again.
One last annoying noise to get rid of with a new alternator. Still working but the bearings are probably worn and make a whining noise noticeable at low speeds.

Rolled over 1,000 km. So few zeros again.

Now over 2,000 km. I think I like this thing.

Hit all 2s on the odometer. Not many drives left this season.  :(
