Nice job, lets hope you get a few more good drives before you tuck her away
If driving an Alfa does not restore vitality to your soul, then just pass the hospital and park at the morgue to save everyone time.

Now drives a Jaaaaaaag...and thus will not pay for anything during an outing...but it is OK, because....I drive a Jaaaaaag.

I figure another 4 weeks or so. Just put the boat away in storage this morning & cleaned out the garage. Now its time to wash the SLK & it will get parked in the garage & stay cleaner finally!! :censor: boat, lol!!

Nice! The quick connects on the battery are a lifesaver, I have them installed on just about everything I own. I also have that same Eliminator smart charger, co-worker gave it to me (he manages the charger category now) and it's quickly become one of my favorites (I have about a dozen charger/maintainers)

Thanks buddy!

I imagine you would need a few chargers with that fleet of yours. The quick connects are awesome! Never needed it with the 951 as I'd only disconnect the battery & hook up a solar charger to it. I have an old charger in the basement that I use to keep the boat battery topped up all winter.

I also got out in the SLK top down like you did in the Jag.

Put the winter tires on the Civic.  They came included with the car; not the greatest tires (Hankook Winter iPike RS), but they only have one season on them, and will do nicely.

The fronts were easy to do, took me about 5 min per side (I love small wheels and tires).  The back, however...  So the back wheels had locking nuts on them (but not the front, for some reason).  I was happy to find a key for them in the glove box.  Ha!  It was stripped.  Sh!t!  Off to my brother in law's who has a compressor and air tools.  An impact wrench didn't help any.  We ended up grinding the sides of the locking nuts to make them a little smaller, then smashing a 3/4 socket over top with a sledge.  A breaker bar was then able to get them off.  The 2nd locking nut split my socket apart, but at least it came off.  I replaced them with regular lugnuts from Canadian Tire.  Need to replace my socket, too.

Anyways, tire change in the spring will be easier.  The surprises you find on a 12 year old, multiple owner used car.

^^^

Being there many times.  Always lose the socket.  Death penalty for wheel thievery is my vote.

Yup. Same here. Put the snows on my boys Mazda. For the Mustang has two sets of winters so good there.

I’m gonna guess Calgary for the pic above. Bit of a storm rolled through yesterday.

I saw it coming, so put the winters on the Yukon Thursday. Forecast doesn’t look great, but dunno how long it will stick around, so am keeping the GTI on its summers for now. Hedging my bets.  ;D

Roads are bare, so thought maybe I’d jumped the gun on the Yukon, but drove to Banff today and the streets in town were pretty much solid ice. Guess they got a bit more snow there.

Edmonton went from mid September to mid November seemingly overnight. -11 tonight, -14 with the wind chill. Swapping winter tires this weekend and doing whatever maintenance and fixing while I can still feel my fingers

So a few things... FINALLY got the jag deal tied up. So it is now gone gone... the Morgan after its mishap is back in my garage... the pacer is having some issues but at least I have found a mechanic that is willing to take a peek at it for me... oh and I borrowed a car from the dealership for my daughters birthday!

So the Morgan when it had its big issue? Turns out the stalling and glycol all over wasn’t related to the air cleaner being off, or transmission stuff. I fricken ran out of gas while worried about all that other stuff! (Mechanic told me not to feel bad, my gas gauge read nearly a quarter). So rather than thinking I needed a new tranny and possibly an engine, I needed some gas, a new air cleaner, and a simple part in the shifter linkage. Bam! Since I earmarked a certain amount of cash for the fix, I know have car money I can spend on the pacer without feeling like I’m spending savings or anything...

Oh, and my daughter loved her “gift”. I told her I got her a new car for her 6th birthday so she ran out to see a mclaren 600LT. Really just an excuse to drive it home. While I like to think I’m a car guy, as a daily driver or not on a track? Just a useless machine. Anyone buying that to just drive around is crazy.

Oh and took the Morgan to visit my grandpa who had bought the car in the early 70’s... he wanted to go for a ride so bad, but there was 0 chance he could get in or out... he enjoyed looking and reminiscing though (and telling all the people nearby how cool he used to be)
i used to be addicted to soap, but i'm clean now
