Changed the oil and cabin filter on my wife's Cherokee. Also replaced the struts with some Bilsteins.
Enjoying the Alberta advantage

Put new rotors on Bella's 323i, old ones were rusted to hell... probably due to not being coated & lack of use since COVID hit. Pads were fine, they were only a couple years old, just sanded them down a bit & back in business.

I've heard that the 'V' of the engine is a favorite place for stuff like this to eventually collect.

Been getting stuff ready for winter hibernation, unfortunately.

Last weekend ran the Camaro and MGB one last time before winter, pulled the batteries and tucked them away. Gave the XKR a good wash, two stage wax (using one of those 'black wax' kits), interior detail and leather treatment; only my second time washing the car since I've owned it as I ran it all summer (about 1200kms...weak, I know) without washing it and only did it once last year when I first got it home. I'll keep the XKR out until the salt is down.

Got the Escalade oil sprayed yesterday and booked the DTS for a couple weeks out. The DTS I ordered new front struts, which I want to install before getting it sprayed...OE units are not terrible yet, but it's time, and I'd rather do it now than in the middle of winter.

Tomorrow I am hoping to get the Sonoma and Firebird tucked away in the garage at home. The T/A is getting stored in my underground parking at the office (might as well use the spot...while I am on WFH) in a couple weeks.

This time of year sucks because all the fun cars get put away, but it's also kinda nice to not have to deal with them for awhile and focus on other things.

Because everyone likes photos, here's the Jag BEFORE I cleaned it up, I forgot to get after photos, maybe this weekend I will.

1200kms?!? You could do that in a single journey, come on man!  :P

Choosing a car based on reliability is like choosing a wife based solely because she is punctual. There is more to it than that...

LOL. I might get another 2-300km in before the weather turns. It feels like a drove it a lot more this season, because I did drive it fairly frequently, least a few times a week, but never really got any good trips in...think the longest run I took was maybe an hour away. Not a ton of places to go with Covid disrupting everything.

Hard to drive them all! I have the same problem. Haven't put anything away yet as we usually don't see snow till December.

Lebaron GTS, drove it the most, about 2400km as I daily it

Old Suburban, did about 1900 km (included a trip to Calgary and back). That's 2 1/2 tanks @ 143 L each thankyou!

Managed to put 200 km on the 1980  Audi 5000 Turbo (it's still in Alberta, I'm there often)

1977 GMC K20, about 150 km

Then there is the countless in between vehicles. I don't come close to posting everything I buy on my show & shine page (most are boring late model pickups or SUV/cars)

^Yep, that's the story. I did about 1500km in the Trans Am, about 300km each in the Sonoma/Firebird. Only about 2000km in the DTS since March when WFH started (not a lot of use for a 'commuter car' when there's no commute). Escalade saw 5000km for a full year, mostly Mrs.Firm, though I drove it on a few road trips. Actually put about 100kms on the Camaro, and 0km on the MGB, though I did start it and move it around in the garage/yard.

I do get press cars, though I've cut back recently due to the lack of driving, maybe put a couple thousand kms on those since March. It's been weird, I am used to doing ~700km/week for the last 10 years commuting back and fourth to work, then suddenly, nothing. A small part of me misses the wheel time, but it's pretty sweet to have those 3 hours a day back....More family time, more time to manage workload, more time for projects.

Yeah my mileage is wacky. Some weeks there's a ton of driving for work, and others there's minimal.

Just checked my fuel-up logs...

4,500 on the Aston since April (avg 14.6L/100km)
562 on the S2000 since April  (avg 9.9L/100km)
708 on the Camry AllTrac since getting it in June (avg 10.0L/100km)

6,000 on the Lexus since April and 52,000 since I bought it from Ron (avg 10.9L/100km)
12,000 on the Denali since I bought it on August 4  (avg 11.7L/100km)

Mrs. Hire's G70 arrived at the beginning of May and it has about 980 on it.

Plus, I've had press cars most weeks and have made it a point to put at least 200-300km on each.
