It's all fun and games until he sticks that driver through the rad.  ;D

I can't believe Ontario is still using front plates. So nasty and big brother.

Yep, I thought about the rad thing...But there's like a foot and a half of air space behind the upper grille before hitting anything.

I hate the plates too...when this car was imported from Florida someone drilled holes in the bumper for the plate. If the holes weren't already there I'd risk it and not run it, or get one of those hidden holders that slide under the bumper when you're not driving. Since the holes are already there, might as well run the plate and not worry about it.

Little guy seems to be developing a nice grip.  ;D

First mod to the Frontier was to remove that damn front plate.  Surprised how many people around here still leave the brackets on though and  replace the plate with something just as ugly....lol

Second mod, winch bumper ;D

Yup, these are awesome. I have the motorized one installed on the Vantage; it's a hilarious conversation piece, but the plate is hidden away 99% of the time... allegedly

Took the Alfa for a spirited drive. Drove great. Discovered I need to fix a couple of things, however:

thermostat and coolant flush are needed, possibly oil temp sensor and coolant temp sensor if thermostat doesnt fix the 'run cold' issue

fix an oil leak at the valve cover that is leaking oil onto my serp belts, causing them to squeal under load. Now to order the parts, and wait 3 weeks for them to arrive.

At least I can do an oil change and tire rotation in my driveway while I wait.
If driving an Alfa does not restore vitality to your soul, then just pass the hospital and park at the morgue to save everyone time.

Now drives a Jaaaaaaag...and thus will not pay for anything during an outing...but it is OK, because....I drive a Jaaaaaag.

Welded up the muffler and hangers that busted on the Outback a couple of weeks ago.   Broke off just as I turned into the driveway at work, dragged it to the parking lot.

Had to fix two hangers and weld up the pipe, one of the hangers is now on the trailer hitch, body is too rusty.
Also put on the summer tires.

Fantastic Tom!  I'd love to get mine out, but it will definitely be a little bit yet.  As you know, our roads are horrible and my road in particular is brutal at the moment.

I cleaned/detailed the interior of the truck yesterday.  Got rid of all the winter grime that had accumulated.  Now it's nice and sparkly clean.

My wife is starting to work on deep cleaning the car, scrubbing the seats with her melaleuca stuff, trying to get out 12 years of not being cleaned.  It's starting to show results, but needs more work, still.

A beautiful day today so took advantage of it and gave the truck a quick exterior cleaning at the brewery while I work.

Looks great!  Was Abbey much help?

I washed my microfibre towels this morning, so I'll be visiting the local self-serv wash soon.

Drained and filled the transmission fluid in my wife's car today. Just under 4L came out and it was pretty dark but not black. I will do another drain and fill after it gets driven a bit. Transmission fluid is currently on special at CT (50x) the points so I bought 12L, enough to drain and fill 3 times. Current mileage is approximately 124k km and fluid has never been changed before. Waiting for gear oil to also go on special so I can replace the transfer case and rear diff oil.

Swapped the winters to all seasons for both cars. It was really hard on my back, especially when I was putting the winters up to the storage rack almost 6' off the ground.

Changed oil on the Sonic.  10k ago was last change...noticed my kid put on only 4,000 km this winter for school.  It doesn't get driven enough...and now I work from home...time to change insurance on the cars tomorrow.  Neither will see much use for the next...4-36 months.

Swapped the wheels yesterday on the Odyssey and the e-tron. Everytime I  :banghead: with the German approach of studs vs nuts. It's a careful balancing act of holding up a wheel on the guide plastic stud and the mm-wide hub while holding a flashlight and trying to align a stud in the right hole... Audi hubs have extra unthreaded holes between stud locations just to add to the fun.

Takes longer with the smaller Audi vs the van, plus the A3 has to be pumped up to 38 psi!

Leaving the keyboard, about to install daughter's new kijiji alloys on her Accent.

We are supposed to get 20-25cm of snow this week, so while I was tempted to change the tires on the truck,  I ultimately decided to wait.
