Are the JDM cars different in any way to the USDM cars?  Apart from RHD, of course

^ Nice wheels AD!   That design has aged really well!

Had the Z3M out all day yesterday.  Top down of course.  Plan on doing same today.  Getting cold out, just not too cold yet.  Saw lots of verts out yesterday but none had the top down.    :P

Put the winter tires on he Sonic (and now there's no snow in the forecast).  Jeez, are they ever loud.  Almost as bad as a serious set of mudders on a truck.  :P  Oh well, lots of tread let and they work like they're supposed to when there is snow.

washed Sandra and Lil Red, Francesca is already spotless of course. Perfect day for a drive and then a wash!
If driving an Alfa does not restore vitality to your soul, then just pass the hospital and park at the morgue to save everyone time.

Now drives a Jaaaaaaag...and thus will not pay for anything during an outing...but it is OK, because....I drive a Jaaaaaag.

Went for a 232 mile romp out in the country back roads today.  Probably should have stayed home and did yard work but driving conditions were perfect here today.  Nice sunny skies and no wind for a change.  No fat old guys on Harleys choking up the roads either.  :D

Good weekend for car stuff, weather was spectacular.

Got both Caddies oil spray at the Rust Check in Mississauga....Top notch service & I find their product far superior to Krown.

Hit up the U-Pick yard in Hamilton as they'd recently gotten an MGB in, so I was able to grab a few bits that I needed for the Chartreuse car for the meager sum of $25

Painted a bunch of MGB parts that I pulled off the car & started refinishing the spare wheel.

Gave the XKR a good wash; first time I've washed it since my initial clean-up, so 2 months worth of dust and tons of handprints and other gunk from me working on it. Then I treated the convertible top with a protector/repellent. Had a bit of time left in the day so I polished the upper front grille and installed an 'R' emblem that matches the one on the back.....2012+ cars got a logo here, but the older ones didn't, I really like the extra touch of color, so I added one. Had to loosen the front bumper cover and snake my arm down behind the grille, but it was easier than I expected.

Looks great!
On some great and glorious day the plain folks of the land will reach their heart's desire at last, and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron.

new brake bulbs for the Alfa, oil change and smoke test for the Mini. Runs a bit better, but still cold start stumble and P2096 code. Meh.

Winters go on the Mini this week, as well as suspension bushes for the Alfa.

I jumped out of the Z into the Tercel yesterday. Wow the clutch pedal is sooo much lighter in Tercel. If the floorboards were rusty I think I would have put my foot through it applying the same effort as the Z.

My turn to swap to my all-weather tire/wheel set.

With the rest of the world going to winter time (non DST) tomorrow, a drop in temperatures the upcoming week, felt it was time. Was pleasantly surprised that the wear on the summer tires was relatively even, but I think I will need a new set of summers next year. €€€€€€

All of you detailing guys and gals will be proud. I washed my summer wheels before winter storage, first time I did this in 5 years...oh the brake dust filth that came off the inside rim!
I love it when a plan comes together.

That's something I always intend to do but never actually follow through on.

Same here.... but this year I may have time, weather permits, to do it. I store my wheels at the dealership so it will take two trips; VW is close (5 min) but Mitsu is not quite (30 min) but since I have time, I'll try it this year.

I always used to do that.......before I moved to Germany. Now, I don't have access to a hose, so I take the car to the car wash the night before the swap so at least the outside face is clean.

But yes, it's good practice since when you swap back over, you'll have clean wheels !
