I liked it, but being a rabid Queen fan from the era (I literally wore out my News of the World album twice and had to keep replacing it) some of the historical inaccuracies were a little jarring to me. However, that would only be true of a small percentage of viewers.

I'd give it an 8/10.

This is the guy who was the vocal "stunt double" for Freddie Mercury in the movie for certain scenes.  He's a Montrealer, and he is flawless!  Gave me goosebumps.  Marc Martel, doing Bohemian Rhapsodyhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QkCxE2Lh458

Cool! And it was followed by the actual footage of Queen at Live Aid, the movie got it very close

Watched 'Polar' and 'Close' from Netflix, enjoyed both. Both action movies, 'Polar' the over the top graphic novel style, 'Close' more on an emotional struggly type theme

Saw the controversial film "Grâce à Dieu" yesterday. Deserved the high ratings all around.

The case is actually currently under trial in France, and the lawyers tried to stop the release of the film 2 days before release. However a french judge overturned the case and it has been allowed to be shown; the accused are presumed innocent still at this point until determined otherwise.

The film itself was.......impressionnant and we in the cinéma gave a round of applause at the end.

Surprised by how many technical Oscars Bohemian Rhapsody won.

Best film editing
Best sound editing
Best sound mixing

While it was a very sound good mix, I didn't think it was anything special or amazing. ROMA easily destroys it IMO and while I haven't seen First Man yet, I've read many great things about its mix. Maybe too many Queen fans on the jury?

Weird that the clip they used for Remi Malek was of him lip synching.

He lip-synched everything.  The "stunt" vocalist for the non-concert performances was Marc Martel, a Montrealer.  Watch this:  his audition singing "Somebody to Love."  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dREKkAk628I

And here's how he does it.  Fascinating!  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GQ0H7tZ_tZs

Hostiles on Netflix. With Christian Bale and Rosamund Pike.

"After a long career battling the Cheyenne, a US Army captain is ordered to safely escort the tribe's most individual chief to his Montana homeland"

Liked it...but I like these types of movies.

I finally watched A Quiet Place and liked it or should I say, liked it enough. Of course most of that like comes from the kick ass sound this movie delivers. For those with subs that can dig deep, enjoy.

On the negative side, so many holes in the story. I'll let Cinema Sins tell you the rest.

And speaking of movies with great sound, I also checked out The Cloverfield Paradox which I enjoyed the story more than AQP and makes a great addition to the trilogy.

These aren't the latest as in they're in the theatre's, but they're newish on Crave.

Deadpool 2 - is what it is, some funny scenes & dialog and some good action as well. I thought the cast did a good job of it overall.

Molly's Game - Bella & I really enjoyed this, we watched it on Sunday afternoon and found it to be excellent. It kept me interested the whole time, the pace was great and the dialog was outstanding I felt. It would've been great as a complete fictional movie, didn't even need to be based on a true story.

We watched Molly's Game a few weeks ago and both of us really enjoyed it as well.  Good watch!

Also watched Upgrade.  This one blew my socks off. If you like well written science fiction, intelligent dialogue, and no holds barred violence mixed in an easy to swallow concoction, then your movie awaits.

I watched it last week.  Thought it was pretty bad...well not bad...but maybe so-so.

I've heard lots of mixed reviews on this one but I'll still watch it as it is suppose to have killer sound with lots of deep, deep bass to challenge my subs.

I liked it for the action sequences and story, but could have done without all of the gore.

Alright...I've got my seat belt fastened. I'm about to watch the premiere of the documentary about serial pedophile and pop star Michael Jackson. Always hard to watch these types of things. Try watching "Deliver Us from Evil" sometime...

HBO was sued by the estate of MJ to try and prevent this from airing.

The original documentary was 4 hours long..but it's only showing 2 hour run time. Not sure if it's a 2 parter....
