Sounded great on my 6.0 system.

Six point zero? Do tell.

Rmemeber the brief push for the 5.0 format in DVD Audio back in the late 90s?  This is where all five channels were encoded with full bass content and required five full range speakers to reprodipuce, and was audio only. That didn't last long.  ::). Never heard of 6.0 though.

I remember that and a few SACDs were mixed the same way.

The fact that the poster was probably a spammer I'm sure they didn't know what they where talking about.

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them last night. Not a bad film at all, very well done and well acted. Eddie Redmayne does a good job of someone who's rather socially awkward

Part way through The Ballad of Buster Scruggs.   I'm a big Cohen Brothers fan and this one is not disappointing.

Good to know.  It's on my list.

Except that his efforts to appear socially awkward also result in his being almost unintelligible.  I watched it with Mrs. Random and my kids and several times we had to play back a line or two and / or ask:  "What did he say?"

Will be interesting to hear you thoughts as currently the vote is 2 to 1 against it.

Pass on Bird Box

Also watched it tonight and very disappointed. Netflix gets great series but their movies not so much.

Mrs. Random and I just finished watching Buster Scruggs.  We both found it quite good.

I actually enjoyed the anthology nature of it.  Right down to the last story.  From singing gunslingers to quadriplegic thespians to what amounts to a spooky gathering in a stagecoach ride on a full moon, it was engrossing.

I was about to write that it was not your typical Cohen Brothers movie but then I remembered all the vastly different movies they have made.  I realized that there is no such thing as a typical Cohen Brothers movie.

I'm one of those who disliked it immensely.  I love the C Bros because they generally make me holler with laughter (Raising Arizona, Fargo, O Brother Where Art Thou).   This one... not so much.  In what ways did it resonate with you?

It's the boy's birthday tomorrow. As is our custom, we take him for dinner and he picks a movie to see.

Am scared at which crappy movie he's going to pick this year...I'm thinking either Aquaman or Holmes and Watson....

Neither sounds good...

You know Aquaman can't be good when even super hero fan boys say it's not that good....one review I heard called it a "mess".

Oh well...guess I'll find out tomorrow

I hear you.  But I can't stand Will Ferrell.  And many websites indicate Holmes and Watson is much worse.  Maybe your son will see the title "On the basis of sex" have no idea what it's about, but likes the title!  Good Luck!

Interesting story.

Do you realize that in about 30 (updated as requested) years, we'll have millions of old ladies running around with tattoos?
