Watched Jumanji (the new one) last night.  I'd give it 2 thumbs up.  More if I had more thumbs.  Roger that.  And I'd watch it again...if for no other reason than Ruby Roundhouse...damn that girl can dance fight.  ;D

I watched this with the kids last weekend and thoroughly enjoyed it, as did the kids.  And yeah, Ruby Roundhouse.     ;D

Watched it ourselves on the weekend and echo all the above. So funny seeing the actors channel awkward teens

Yeah...the wife and I enjoyed it as well...x2 on the Ruby Roundhouse, me-yeow.
Lighten up Francis.....

I didn't like Black Panther. Not sure what all the hype is about... The visuals were great, but the story was boring and there were lots of lengthy moments. I also didn't like that they all spoke with phony African accents which made it difficult to understand all the dialogues (for me).

The phone African accents really killed the movie

I don't know it it's what killed the movie, but it really brothered me. The whole story is just completely weird. I like superheroes as much as anyone, but this one just goes too far in the weirdness.

My wife and I watched The Shape of Water over the weekend  and we both thought it was mediocre at best.  Technically it was quite good, Michael Shannon was very convincing in his role, and the set production was very well done with great atmosphere, but I found it quite corny overall.  We had high expectations going in as friends of our recommended it highly and most reviews were positive, but it didn't live up to the hype from our pov.

Meh...You couldn't get in anyways.  They are xenophobic and do their best to dissuade foreigners entry.  So pretty much the same policy as Trump!    :rofl2:

as someone with a very South African friend, I can tell you that their accents are accurate [at least for "African accent trying to speak English"] - could be a lot worse, trust me

Which is apparently a suburb of London, based on the accents.  Either that or both Odin and Thor went to Oxford or Cambridge.   :rofl2: :rofl2: :rofl2:

Watched the new sports documentary from HBO Sports called "Andre the Giant".

I'm not a wrestling fan...but was an amazing documentary about a guy who truly was larger than life.

I want to see this. Saw him wrestle in Calgary when I was a kid. Then saw him at Ponderosa but was too shy/scared to go talk to him.

I watched it the other night as well, can't believe how busy his life was & the amount of travelling he did. And the drinking he was able to do, WOW!!!!

The Ric Flair 30 for 30 documentary is an eye opener on the amount of alcohol a pro wrestler can consume.    Love the nature boy.   Woooooooooo

A new movie being made called "Run This Town" about the late TO Mayor, Rob Ford.  Interestingly enough, Damian Lewis has been casted to play the role as Ford.  Odd choice, but he's a fantastic actor IMO.
