Just watched the funniest movie I've seen so far this year and my favorite Netflix movie so far.  It's called "Game over, Man" and it is kind of a Die Hard parody.  Definitely low brow humor but I enjoyed it thoroughly.  Not something to watch with the kids.

Watched Jumanji (the new one) last night.  I'd give it 2 thumbs up.  More if I had more thumbs.  Roger that.  And I'd watch it again...if for no other reason than Ruby Roundhouse...damn that girl can dance fight.  ;D

I watched this with the kids last weekend and thoroughly enjoyed it, as did the kids.  And yeah, Ruby Roundhouse.     ;D

Thought it was horrible and felt like it was written by a 9 year old boy. Turned it off after 30 mins and I thought I had a high tolerance for bad movies.

Definitely not for everyone, especially those easily offended by penis jokes.

LOL.  Our sixteen year old wanted to watch it.  As it happened, our 5-year old had fallen asleep early, so I okayed it.  watched it with my wife and I.  The teenager was definitely impressed and thought it was hilarious.  I had a couple of laughs, and my wife was thoroughly disgusted.

I definitely wouldn't call it 'the funniest thing I've seen this year', although it had a couple of good laughs in it.

EDIT: It would probably have been much funnier had I been stoned.

I must have missed that bit of 1980s plop but I'm glad I did.  According to Wikipedia, it lasted for five months.

Ak-Nyeo ([The Villainess] 2017)

Sook-hee is a trained assassin who was born to kill. She was just a little girl when the training started in Yanbian, China. After the death of her mentor, when the chance of starting a new life was given to her, she came to South Korea as a government agent. They promised her that she will be free after ten years of service. So she begins her new life as a theatre actress. But soon two men Joong-sang and Hyun-soo appear in her new life. And she started to find deep dark secrets about her past. Eventually she take matters into her own hands.

If you like lots of violence and blood, this was pretty good. Bonus points for great sound.

Is that on Netflix?  So much to watch on there, and I love me some fancyass real Chinese martial arts movies.

We watched the newest robotruck/BumbleBee movie...what a fecking dud.  Can't even remember what it's called now...hmmm...nope...not Power Rangers...equally not so good...uhm...WTF...Battle Star Trucklactica?  Whatever...if I've forgotten it, it can't be good.  Matt Damon (?) was a total waste of time...it was as if he was the same stupid character as he is in those movies with the talking Teddy Bear...I think the 14 yr old girl was the best actor...maybe the robot butler.  Did this come out after Thor?  Maybe if (Taika Waititi) directed it it would've been better.  Maybe they should've done it in 10-12 episodes on Netflix, it seemed like they must've shot a ton of video, and then tried to piece it together in some coherent fashion. 1 Star.

Just vaguely. It was awful.

I remember Airwolf too. Great theme song, but pretty bad show.

Automan was another POS from the early 80s. No redeeming qualities whatsoever.

Wow.  Amazing short.  That somewhat sneering, refined British accent and delivery is absolutely spot on for the piece.  A titan of the world, facing life's one great question and giving back one great "F*** off" as an answer.

Great find, Ron!

Again in the minority.  Don't think Black Panther was as good as some of the other Marvel movies.  Didn't really feel like a Marvel movie at all.

Somebody told me they were using different directors/producers to give their movies a different feel to them so they all don't feel the same. Guess it is working.

I'm looking forward to the DeadPool sequel with mixed feelings.  On the one had, the irreverent tone of the original had me laughing (when I was supposed to) each time I saw it.  On the other hand, will it wear thin and become yet another example of "been there done that"?

Or to put it another way:  Can we have too much Ryan Reynolds mouthing off?

It opens in about a month or so.

Watched it ourselves on the weekend and echo all the above. So funny seeing the actors channel awkward teens

Not a huge fan of the Marvel movies.  Will watch them a usually a few months to even a year after they are in theaters.  And only some of them.  Captain America, Iron Man, Avengers, had the same kind of feel.  And some humor to it.  And I found them good.  This one found rather boring.  Some good fighting, less humor, felt less like a Blockbuster movie.
