I've only watched Motocross a bit, not much. Mostly in my 20s since my roommate was obsessed with it (still is). Carmichael was the guy back then. Then there was bubba and I think steward (Stu)..?

Ricky dominated supercross and motorcross and that is why he is the GOAT and Magrath isn't. Supercross is riding around in a hockey rink.

Ricky did NOT dominate supercross the way McGrath did. And it's not close.

McGrath 7 titles, 72 wins

Carmichael 5 titles, 48 wins

And while you might ridicule supercross, that's the one everyone was watching, got all the money and press. And EVERY race on TV. Even people who didn't watch SX went to watch it.

Which was quite unlike the outdoor motocross where Carmichael excelled. People showed up (like me)...but the real show was (and still is) Supercross.

I wasn't. Was a huge Jean-Michel Bayle fan.

I was just LOL at that "importance" of particular race weekend. People in North America largely didn't care...unless the race was held there.

I think the only off road stuff these days I really go out of my way to watch is Erzberg and a couple rallies.

But I'll always watch GNCC when it's (infrequently) on.

We also watch FIM Trials pretty much every week.

We were lucky to have a Red Bull hard enduro event here last year. Red Bull Outliers. Great time and free to watch.

Manuel Lettenbichler won, Trystan Hart came second and Mario Roman came 3rd.

They ran the prologue in downtown Calgary. A few of my riding buddies participated. I didn't due to having no ACL and that that is dangerous stuff with a wonky knee. Absolute murder on your bike. I should not have sold the old 300.

It is indeed a handsome bike. I like the simple, black and chrome finish. That's what a proper big 'Murica bike is supposed to look like.

There's a guy on the local Hamilton Motorcycle Group on Facebook with a big Victory and he rides that thing EVERYWHERE and damn near all season. Well over 100,000 km on it, iirc.
