Sounds like a great engine but a cramped frame, another reason they put a girl on it for the photo.
yea, i never liked that...most of their marketing materials used women on Sportsters...while i always found the 883 to be a dog, i didn't mind the 1200...i think this new model would likely be quite good.

And only 1.5 inches of suspension travel in the rear
that does seem awfully low...i'm wondering if it works differently in that it doesn't need as much travel?

That Harley looks sharp.  Not a phrase I have uttered very often.  ;D  Not sure about putting a ginormously fat front tire on a bike with sporting intentions, but no quarrel from me on aesthetics.
Wokeism is nothing more than the recognition and opposition of bigotry in all its forms.  Bigots are predictably triggered.

yea, i was disappointed when they axed the Bronx, as it looked like a bike that would be what many buyers are gravitating towards nowadays...this Sportster S is basically what the Bronx was going to be (maybe even better).

I would've taken a Bronx without embarrassment...why they decided to dump it...probably because it doesn't "look" like a Harley.  I love this...

Though this fat middle aged ride doesn't have the money for the Sportster S never mind whatever they would've sold this for.

Yeah, she does look nice...but I doubt it's aimed at middle aged riders...

No.

Might be the first whole engine they've done. Porsche designed the V-rod engine, and then Harley did liquid heads themselves on some of the big baggers

yea, here's a write up of the engine from earlier this year (as it's also used in the Pan America).

LOL, ok. I'm 45, so just starting to fall into that snack bracket.  :rofl2:

And I sold the C63 a couple of years ago.  :P

And yes, the Tiger 900 was closer to $24K with additional farkles and tax. Which proves my point that only old f*ckers can afford them.  :P Luckily, running around building this coffee empire is keeping me fairly fit, so I'm not yet wide enough for a Harley. But when I'm further into that age snack bracket, and my joints start to seize up, I'll get a Triumph Rocket 3 R.

 ;D ;D

Back when I was just starting to really think I would get a bike one day, I posted the Rocket 3 GT on FaceBook and said it was a dream bike, though obviously not a first bike.  The amount of go for it / life is short responses I got was hilarious.  Yeah, life would be short all right.  :rofl2:
