Was this just for the first gen AT or are the second gens affected as well?

Obviously buying a reliable bike that doesn't rust is the best option here.

No idea.

Choosing a car based on reliability is like choosing a wife based solely because she is punctual. There is more to it than that...

Yeah I was gonna post that too, it does look amazing. Hopefully they'll do a street version.

I'm still lusting after a late model RC8R to add to the garage one day.

Agree, I really like the look of them too. The build quality wasn't quite up to Triumph's though.

Didn’t want to start a new thread and this isn’t really the right thread but whatever. Need some advice.

Selling the boys ‘13 KX250F. It’s as mint as a ‘13 will get. Everything is in order.

Dude is wanting to trade me an ‘08 KTM 300 XC. He has my interest, being it’s a 2-stroke trail bike. It’s needs some work; fork seals, sprockets, mostly minor stuff. Says top end is fresh, but who really knows. I haven’t seen the bike yet so I’m sure there’s more surprises.

My idea is that if the KTM was as mint as my boys I’d do the deal straight across. However since it’s not, I need cash on top. Does this seem fair?  Should I even be looking at this thing?  Don’t know my KTMs from a hole in the ground but the bike has my interest.
Quality is never an accident; it is always the result of high intention, sincere effort, intelligent direction, and skillful execution; it represents the wise choice of many alternatives.

If the ktm computer is still working it will tell you hours. The 300XC is the closer ratio gearbox (vs the XC-f). It may also hit a little harder than the XC-F. 2008 is still the open chamber forks (before KTM took a bad detour on the closed 4CS forks) this is a good thing. A solid bike before the introduction of the 2009 estart. I helped a buddy rebuild (bottom/top end)  a 2007 300XC. With a pro circuit pipe that thing hits harder and has more power than a new one. If it looks ok jump on it but like you say depends on condition.

Not sure what he’s asking, wants to trade straight across for the Kawi, which I have listed at $4900. Ya, I know it’s rich, but it’s the cheapest priced bike of that vintage in that condition.

Dude says he’s getting rid of it because it’s too much bike for him. Makes me very skeptical. Plus I’ve asked twice now where he’s located and he’s not answering that question for some reason. He bout it this year from some other guy. No hour meter he says.

I’ll keep you posted.

The Zero would be nice.
Is the Harley Livewire still the only one (yet) with DC fast charging capability?

I have to watch "Long Way Up" on Apple TV+

Oh wow, I like it. I didn't think that an orange and white combination will be good on a motorbike.

Hmmm may be hot. Tread carefully. That is pricey for no estart lol. It would need to be in mint condition to command that price.

I don’t know, haven’t tried it yet. 140 ft-lbs of torque starting at 1 rpm could be fun.

The Livewire is $35k+. DC fast charging is a + only if you plan to long distance travel with it, which I would not.

There is a 2020 SR/F available for $17K near Montreal.

Fairly limited range last time I looked. Nice to sit on though.
