That's kinda what I'm thinking - I'd rather ride alone anyway.  You don't need to ride with me!  Shaft drive...windshield...probably has cruise and heated grips...I'm not 19 anymore! (or 25 or 30 or 35...)
Pretty sure she'd rather it was an Indian Scout Bobber - I'd almost prefer a Bonne Bobber Black then. And only one seat...sorry! It's just for me!  ;D Don't ask what my son thinks about those though  :P ::) ;D
Maybe she'd like my bros Harley, it's for sale.
I'm kinda hoping that we get our annual bonus soon - I might make a concerted effort to make a quiet trip to Narsol if it's still available and go oops!  Look what's in the back of the truck! And have enough left over for some gear too.
Or do what I always do...nothing.  Where would I ride it...how often would I ride it...thinking about it makes no sense...but a motorcycle isn't about making sense.  Hell I might pack the bags and go for a 5 day boot around the province...I've got 5 weeks of holidays from last year I never used...not like I couldn't have time to go oot and aboot.

Why are you seeking your wife's or anyone else's validation on the bike? It's your ride.

Sports tourers and Gold Wings are high on my list for the shaft drive. I hate chain maintenance.

No, but at least it shows that you have a heartbeat.  :rofl2:

Yea, you wouldn't want the Cars and Bikes people to think you're a heartless robot by driving a 10 second FJR commuter!    :rofl2:

You don't see the bike you are riding (says the guy who bought retro styled bike because he liked the way it looked)

yea, not sure why you wouldn't like an FJR...most of the Japanese brands have their versions of those (sport touring bikes) and they are all pretty good...i think the Honda was the ST1300?

Hmmm....But FJR is "sport touring".  So I'd say it's closer to a GS.   ;D

I'd say GoldWing is closer to LS (all out luxury)

Yes, damn good question.  My BIL in NB has one now too...could probably get it cheaper, but he doesn't have new tires and it's a long walk to go there and ride it back.  Plus all the 3 day provincial quarantines...I'd never make it back home!  ;D

..i think the Honda was the ST1300?

Yep..and later replaced by the VFR1200F

There's one of those too, $8g - which is pretty decent since it's also a newer bike, and they look good bagless too - but fack, it's about $600 more per year to insure it.  Same damn purpose FFS...but MPIC has their heads up their arseholes.
You can register a VFR800 as either a Sport Tourer for around $8-900 (maybe you need to prove you have bags on it, don't know) - or as a Sport Bike for over $1300...doesn't matter if it's a 1999 or a 2014.  I don't think anyone there actually knows anything about bikes.

VFR800 is fantastic.

I've always wanted one.  Not overly powerful, and sound amazing with a good exhaust.

LOL, I know that. Nowhere did I comment on it's performance.   :P

Choosing a car based on reliability is like choosing a wife based solely because she is punctual. There is more to it than that...

Phew!  Saved by the bell - someone looking for a bike also thought that FJR was sweet and it appears it is gone.  And they had money...  Oh well...

I guess I could always take that bonus money and invest it in RRSPs - but who says I'll live long enough to enjoy it, and I sure as hell won't be riding an FJR at 65+!

Or anything for that matter...or maybe...

 ;D

I love mine.  It's not fast.  Doesn't handle that well.  But I love the look (I've customized mine to my tastes), the sound and it's just a comfy, super-easy-to-ride bike.

Janus released their new bike.

I really like the looks!
