at $20k, a KTM 1290 Super Duke R?

it's a little more "spacey" looking, but mean AF...177HP will do that...although, with it being a bigger sized bike, i'm not sure if you can lift...

The KTM is actually the smaller bike, believe it or not.

Slightly shorter wheelbase and about 50lbs lighter IIRC...

I do believe that. The FTR didn't feel especially small or light for a nekkid bike.

Yes the SuperDuke is roughly the same price, but sometimes too much is simply too much! Those hyper naked bikes with north of 160 hp are simply more bike than my license needs to contend with.

Is this a good deal? Good bike? Seems like it might be - $4k for what looks to be a nice bike...that's already 17 yrs old...jeez...at least it doesn't look 17 yrs old.
2004 Yamaha FJR 1300 - I like it. And under a G to insure, too.

i'm no expert on those but from what i do know, they're pretty good bikes...definitely good value if the bike is indeed in great shape...you can rack up lots of miles on those.

To be fair, it is a slightly dull looking commuter/tourer that screams practicality over everything else. It's the polo shirt, khakis, and white sneakers of bikes.

If you wanted her to say "wow, sexy", then yes, that's not the right bike.
