Those Z900RSs are such a fantastic bike.  I wouldn't have it in the cafe scheme like that (let alone baby blue), but oh they're great.  So incredibly smooth running, beautifully finished, easy to ride, but ample performance when you want to get frisky too.  Outstanding machine.

yea, they are sweet...i'd get the SE version personally (if i were buying) as it would be more comfortable...still has that retro look, but with all the modern equipment.

Me too..  that green/yellow colour scheme is the same as the one we filmed in Japan in autumn '19.  I also really love the orange-and-rootbeer scheme.

Makes me want a Honda 750 - the grand daddy to the super bike. The SOHC one though over the (likely better) DOHC one.

nice bike, but that's the great thing about the Kawasaki...has that similar style look, but modern suspension, brakes, fuel injection and a silky smooth engine.

I had striped corduroy pants in that exact colour combo in the 70s.  I guess everything old is cool again.

yup...they had the colour option the first couple of years i think...the current model is the green/yellow...i don't think there are any differences in the bike itself (2018-2020), just the paint colours.

yea, those were cool...i don't think they sold many though (i've never seen one on the road)...it's also on the "big" side, which may have limited its appeal.

Yeah, they were certainly full-sized.   A friend had an 1100, traded it on a 1200 and his wife didn't notice.   (He also almost died on it )

yea, full size bikes like this are likely a tough sell...they sell for touring bikes, but not street bikes...big, heavy, expensive, way more power than you can realistically use for regular street use...something like a Trident is much easier to manage as a daily driver in the city, while being less to buy, run and insure...again, not the the full size bikes are no good, just a tough sell, especially in Canada where we pay so much for insurance and can only ride the thing half the year...now, if you lived in Alabama, you could ride it year round and pay $150/year to insure it...that would be an easier sell...here, half the riding season (with each end being chilly) and insurance would likely be $2k/year (likely $1300 for me, but likely $3k for my boss who is a new rider).
