Yup, almost. $1278 for "pleasure" and $1922 for All Purpose (so you can ride to work as much as you want). You might think, well, that's not so bad...if you only ride 5 month it's only $800...but you'd be wrong. That's how it used to work. Annual divide by 12 and if you go May to end of Sept, you pay for those 5 months.
Now...now it's $1922 annual...but you pay for all of it for those 5 riding months we get. You can insure it cheap before May 1st or after Sept 30 ('tis what my bro did for years) because they were/are the off season months. A bit of a crock o'shyte anyway.
My BIL in NB pays about $275 he figures for his Multistrada 1000...it's the same as the CB1000R here, more than the bike is worth. And our roads are about as entertaining as watching curling...and about as straight and flat too. Least 'round where I am.

A cruiser bruiser makes more sense...
Which brings me to this. I thought the Warrior was Yamaha's big bike...nope! The Raider is even bigger. 1000 800 and 54 CC's of V-twin. Pretty sure that it'd be fast enough...and it actually looks a bit better than the Warrior too (rear fender on the Warrior is tooooo long).

Probably shyte on gas, but that's OK. Seen some with almost 100,000 km on them, apparently reliable as the day is long.
