My neighbor bought a Triumph speed twin 900 from the dealer, He got a good deal.  Very nice bike.   Bikes are for sure cheaper than 2 years ago.

Well they have another 4 weeks and then selling a bike season is over.

Hundreds of new riders are turned out on a weekly basis through courses province-wide.  They run from March through the end of October in Ontario.  All those new riders want bikes as soon as they get their license.  Not all will buy new, of course, but many will. I bought my bike in late August for exactly this reason.  The market for bikes is seasonally front-loaded for obvious reasons, but it doesn't end in the spring, in my (very limited) experience.

I think availability is up and prices are down - as one would expect as we leave the Covid-defined market further behind.  But I don't think the bottom is dropping out of the motorcycle market.  My instructor buddy says courses are pretty much full, pretty much every weekend.

Wokeism is nothing more than the recognition and opposition of bigotry in all its forms.  Bigots are predictably triggered.

Maybe out your way.

Like I said...people here can ride until November.

Which means they shop until November.

I bought my 250 in September. Had a couple unexpected weeks off after a busy summer, weather forecast was great, so I walked into the local dealer to see what they had. All the 2010s were sold, but the 2011s were just arriving and they had an unsold 250 still in the crate. Took it home a couple days later.

That is not how retail works. It snows until May but the majority of the full price shovels are sold in November. The bikes that are sold later in the season are usually discounted so it is more a function of clearing the floor for the new stock. Dealer would obviously like to sell early at full MSRP. My source? I ride with two guys who are dealers. Anything not sold by the end of a June is an anchor. Money at that point is made in parts, accesories and service.

That's not how it works here! Remember, this is the banana belt in comparison.

Clearly that's how it works out your way with an abbreviated riding season though.

So Crappy tire still has lawnmowers on their floorplan in September?  ;D

After June it is all downhill and lots of these were discounted bikes not in demand that didn't get snapped up by enthusiasts in the spring. September is cheap old farts with deep pockets and short arms!

Beats me...I have a John Deere..so I don't shop for lawnmowers.

But people here 100 percent shop and buy motorcycles well into the fall.
