And I'd probably give my left nut for this...

https://iconicmotorbikeauctions.com/auction/1996-yamaha-yzr500-owj1/

It would not have been enough, it sold for $321,000!  :o :o

Showed my wife the Scrambler as a possible alternative to the Rebel. Her comment: "Won't the exhaust burn your ass?"  ;D

Transalp looks pretty good, though adventure bikes don't make me drool.

Don't love the Hornet. Looks plasticy and generic like some kind of YamaKawOnda.

Yours definitely is the looker of the two.  Wonder if they'll keep it around as an alternative.

Also wonder if it'll be cheaper to insure than the 650.  At least here.  Was checking the other day, and the wee CB300 here costs a couple hundred more than a CB500...like WTaF!?  So maybe the Hornet will be less than the CB650 simply because it has 2 fewer cylinders. Who knows how or what MPI is thinking 108.7% of the time.

That Honda trans Alp...    glad other are joining the mid size adventure lineup.  the Suzuki v-strom 800 too (don't know if it can still be called "V").  Although the Strom looks like it's heavy but will probably be the most affordable of all, beside the KLR.

Easy. Scrambler or Hornet. The Trans Alp is too heavy with crap suspension (looks it can't cash). That Yamaha thing looks heavy. Most of these bikes have weight problems

looks like the honda will be 460lbs which is in line with the Yamaha T7,  the Suzuki Strom 800  on the other hand will be 500+ lbs

T7 is 50 lbs too heavy and carries it's mass high. These need to be closer to 400 lbs. Original Trans alp was under 400 lbs.

yeah it the issue with most adventure bikes... weight.  the yamaha  XT 660 (not in Canada) is about 400lbs

I know I harp abought weight weight weight, but it is so easy for manufacturers to sell the "look" without the capability to back it up. Get rid of all the electronic crap, subscriptions etc and give me a light, well-balanced motorcycle. I love the T7 because this is the approach. It just needs to be lighter and better suspended.

If KTM can build a road legal 500cc thumper than weighs 240 lbs (dry) then Yamaha can build me a 350 lb T7.  ;D

To be fair, KTM does the same.

Their 790/890 Adventure, while lighter than most, isn't exactly a featherweight.
How fast is my 911?  Supras sh*t on on me all the time...in reverse..with blown turbos  :( ...

No it isn't (simply overweight vs obese) and way way way too much tech. Although it is 432 lbs and 104 HP  :o

The Ducatti DesertX is interesting  ;D

Triumph Sprint ST 1050 - only 3 in Canada on Kijiji - and all in Quebec...which probably doesn't bode well for what they really are.  (wrote off rebuilt??)

Nice looking bike, and nice list of additional mods too - Over 3k in modifications, notable are: rear Ohlin Monoshock, Corbin seat, Gen-Mar handle bar risers with Oxford heated grips, Powerbronze windscreen, frame sliders

Those Corbin seats are super popular on touring bikes.   this bike reminds me of the VFR1200, similar looks.
