Choosing a car based on reliability is like choosing a wife based solely because she is punctual. There is more to it than that...

It's a reliable bike, good to ride. Nothing too exciting though.

Looks in OK condition, I'd want the OEM exhausts though.

Price is low, mileage is low. Why not? If you are comfy on it then the only concern I would have is all the rubber bits after 18 years. The key in my mind is that it was garaged stored.

Then again maybe the bike is a turd and that explains the low mileage. No one wanted to ride it.  ;D

That does seem like quite a good price for that.

"so get in line"  :rofl2:

yeah, no.
I know I've told this story before, but went to a Buell demo ride. The Buell reps were pretty cocky telling us their bikes would give the bikes we showed up on (sportbikes) a run for their money.

They told us to "ride them like you'd ride your bikes".

I did. And promptly destroyed/warped the front rotor. It even changed color.

Needless to say, that bike could no longer be used for demo rides.
How fast is my 911?  Supras sh*t on on me all the time...in reverse..with blown turbos  :( ...

Funny you say that, I've always thought that that front brake design was the best thing about them. Seemed pretty innovative.

Looks like Buell is back!!

Buell Hammerhead Pro

Looks like it's back without Erik Buell though:

As far as I can tell, anyway. Things get a bit convoluted

Agreed - great shade.
Wokeism is nothing more than the recognition and opposition of bigotry in all its forms.  Bigots are predictably triggered.

Yea, I thought so too!  Oil tank in frame was clever too IMO.

I rode it hard, late braked, etc.

Not sure if it was partially worn due to being a demo bike.

But it was definitely ruined when I was done with it.

W is the name. I believe the only place Kawasaki shows up is the back of the seat.

i still don't understand how the W800 was allowed to be built (as it is SOOOO close to a Triumph Bonneville in appearance).

Ummm..because it's a re-make/retro model of their W model from the 60s?

No.

Some *might* say BSA. But Kawi had a legit license to do so.

Also...stylstically...in the 50s and 60s...there was only so much that could be done to distinguish the product.  Kawasaki distinguished itself by having their W series with the largest engine of any Japanese bike at the time (IIRC).
