Everyone wants a small 4 cylinder bike. Almost no one wants to pay $9,000+ for one.

Well that's the thing.

An FZR400 cost more than the FZR600 at the time.

But depending on the bike...I'd absolutely pay $10k

The only 400 4 cylinder I've rode was the old Suzuki GSF-400 Bandit, but WOW was it an awesome little bike, screamer of an engine as well, like over 12k rpm.

I think there are few exceptions. Same with manual transmissions in cars. Enthusiasts say they want them, but they make up very few sales.

I've seen the new style Goldwing go as low as $21k used, but there is a Covid premium on a lot of stuff right now. I want a new Goldwing so bad.

Oh just an FYI, you can attach the backrest/trunk on the non Tour version, or detach it from a Tour version. I know with the Tour version you need to buy a blank off panel but I'm not sure if with the non Tour it's just a matter of detaching the blank off panel and attaching the backrest/trunk. The bike looks great without the backrest/trunk but the option is nice when you're touring with a passenger and/or need to carry extra stuff.

Well that thing is drop dead gorgeous!! Damn, I've always respected Goldwings, but that thing just bloody looks good.

Remote keyless start. Pfffft, I guess this bike's for people who don't enjoy realizing they put their keys in their jeans under their overpants after they just put their gloves on.

When I went on my big trip a couple years ago we came across a guy with brand new Goldwing with the DCT. He loved it.

i think everyone who buys a Goldwing loves them...there's a reason they are the "Gold Standard" of touring bikes...i test rode one back in 2001ish and was amazed at how easy it was to ride and how smooth and powerful that engine was...smoothest running engine i've ever experienced.
