^^^ Yep, parking like that is just asking for trouble.

I admit it.  I'm an f-ing a$$ole.  When I had my Echo, I'd park right beside cars just like that squeezing in as tight as possible just to be a jerk.
How fast is my 911?  Supras sh*t on on me all the time...in reverse..with blown turbos  :( ...

Nothing a well placed shopping cart can't solved.  Take note of wind direction and any slope in the parking lot.

Fack I want your car

You and me both!

Fack, long lineup already!  >:(

Haven't been in that new parking garage at Oakville GO - looks like it would be a PITA to get out from the top level in rush hour when an express train barfs up a few thousand passengers all at once.

I have a reserve spot at Bronte GO - end spot, right by the main entrance - people leave me notes all the time offering to buy "my" spot.   :)

I take the 08:15 Morning Express in and the All Stops 15:15 or 15:45 out of Union. I will never take an express or any train after 16:00 back to Oakville for the reason you mentioned. Mayhem.

I would not TOUCH the car.  But have parked close enough to the driver's door where they had to slide in from the passengers side (which meant I had to get out of my car through the passenger side also).  And since the Echo was a POS, it's not like I cared if they kicked my car or anything.

Unfortunately, I don't have a small enough/POS car to do that anymore.  I suppose one could carry a side cutter and cut 2 valve stems if they were so inclined.... ;D

i think its pretty well stated... parking to protect your investment is fine as long as you aren't hindering other people by doing it.

this guy is a douche in the picture... if it was really about protecting your car, you park further away.. if its about trying to seem more important than everyone else, you do it wherever you want.

Some @sshat did that to me not all that long ago and I was p!ssed.  Had to enter my S2K from the passenger side and crawl over.  And I was parked completely normal, unlike the Aston in the article.   >:(

Unless the guy was parked like that in a primo spot up front, I wouldnt care. It really pisses me off when motorcycles take up an entire parking spot.

But what are motorcycles supposed to do?  Unless there is special motorcycle parking, they have no choice.  I used to park my motorcycle up on the little median things, out of the way..or up on a piece of sidewalk out of the way.  I got a ticket for doing that, so I had to take up a spot.  The only place around here that has dedicated motorcycle parking is the casino.

yeah, i agree...

i get all mad when i see a bike in a spot... but its usually just because i had already started pulling in before i saw it!

then i realize... what the hell is the guy supposed to do? park in the back of a pickup truck?

now, if there are three bikes, obviously together and each take up a spot..... ok.... thats not a nice move.

However, bikes are allowed an entire parking spot (and lane) whether you like it or not.

I guess I have seen a lot of places with bike parking, but it irks me to see two bikes beside one another taking up two separate spots. Isnt there some kind of biker code on sharing spots?!?!?!  ;D

Wow.....thats some bored moron meter maid to give you a ticket like that. I like it when bikes park up there, its safer for them and they dont take up an entire spot.

To firther discourage it, they have put these signs smack in the middle of the little medians/islands.

oh, i get that bikes can(and rightfully deserve to) have their own lane, spot or whathaveyou, all i said is that its not nice... and as fob says... no code or anything?...

its like if i'm going straight and i miss the light and the guy behind me is turning right... i'll inch up and try to get over so he can get by.... i don't have to... i am right not to...

but what ever happened to courtesy? (not assuming you aren't courteous of course!)

I am not courteous.  I have often parked in the pink courtesy parking spots if I'm running in/out.

haha! fine.. i take it back.

i don't mind that though... my wife is prego and said "why don't we use the close spot for expectant mothers!"

i told her close spots were for handicapped people.

Got my first ding on the Santa Fe in the summer, and I was pissed.  I still am.  I have been using end spots far away from the entrances ever since then - especially at shopping malls and grocery stores, where people are more likely to throw open their doors to load up their cars.

Took me two weeks to get my mega-dent.  Haven't bothered getting it fixed & won't I guess until lease end if Mr. Inspector notes it...
