If I can't find a safe spot I will go to another lot even if I have to walk 1000m.

That person has a greater chance of receiving damage to their car by parking that way.  It'll just :censor: people off and someone will key it or ram a cart into the car on purpose.
Quality is never an accident; it is always the result of high intention, sincere effort, intelligent direction, and skillful execution; it represents the wise choice of many alternatives.

^^^ Yep, parking like that is just asking for trouble.

If you do have a nice, I mean nice not 94 Tempo nice, and park in the back 40 of the parking lot, why not. If you do this toward the front, some jealous prick might to something bad to your baby.

I'd rather go out towards the back of the lot, or find an end spot.  You're asking for it if you do what that guy did.

If your car is too precious to park out in public, then don't park it.

Parking like this just says 'I think I'm special, and I'm going to inconvenience everyone else because I'm a dikwad'

I have no problem with people who want to park like that.....as long as it's at the very back of the lot with dozens of empty spaces around them.

I learned my lesson when I was a young pup and thought my brand new '86 Escort GT was the the sh!t.  :D

I did the angle park and returned to find a big gob of spit on my door handle. I didn't see it until I grabbed the handle.  :(

My 911 was pristine, not a single ding, and so I wanted to keep it that way.  I would NEVER park over two spots.  That's just asking for someone to key your car.  Also, parking at the empty end of the lot is also asking for trouble from vandals.  No, park away from everyone else, but just close enough that your car is still "in the group."  Multi-level parking lots usually have pillars, and there are often spots with a pillar on each side.  Even one pillar is good, snuggle up to it and leave lots of room on the other side.

End spots are good, but right or left is a dilemma.  If you park on the right end, you'll have someone on your left, meaning less chance of a ding as there is always a driver, but not always a passenger.  But, I find passengers more likely to ding someone, so...

The Forester is great in that I can park ANYWHERE I like and never worry.  I'm the car that everyone is trying to park away from!!  Honestly, I would have been VERY tempted to squeeze my Scoob in beside that Aston, parking 1mm from his driver's door.

Sometimes I think that other peoples parking, especially around Xmas, is a good reason to allow Canadians to carry and use firearms... not necessarily for use on people... but for use on tires, windshields and radiators.

Indoor lots with lots of pillars are a good answer tho'.

He left enough room for 2 Smart cars or bikes to park alongside of him.

I shop in places where I can park on the street. I won't shop where there is underground (tight) parking and I shop at two places with rooftop parking where I park at the end or a couple of angle spots far away from the next spot.

Except someimes the movie industry gets away with too much crap around here.

Parking to reduce the likelihood of damage is fine. I have parked kind of like that or like snowman in his pics above but I always do it out of the way...never by the door.

Fack, long lineup already!  >:(

Haven't been in that new parking garage at Oakville GO - looks like it would be a PITA to get out from the top level in rush hour when an express train barfs up a few thousand passengers all at once.

I have a reserve spot at Bronte GO - end spot, right by the main entrance - people leave me notes all the time offering to buy "my" spot.   :)
