I'm interested in the Pathfinder and I test drove it when the NissanNext tour came to Ottawa.
As expected, this is definitely a CUV type of vehicle, basically a poor man's version of the JX which isn't a bad thing. It drives fine for this type of vehicle, enough power, spacious and easy to drive for its size. it was quiet, smooth and basically there was nothing that offended me. I have no problems with the CVT in general....it seems better than other older CVT's of yore, and I have no problem with its power delivery or feel. I certainly would rather have a JX for its more upscape looks but I'd rather save the few $K and get this instead.
With the price in the high-mid-30's for the 4WD model, it seems like a top 5 contender for me when I need to replace my WRX with a full-sized familar hauler. It's a larger vehicle that I actually need but the extra space might be handy for longer trips, hauling our bikes, carrying around the grandparents etc.
