Thanks.

I haven't seen a Standard 10 in a long, long time. Probably over a decade. Might be one out in BC or something but seems like Vauxhalls and Austins are more common here.

Cobra-phile that I am, I can't help but point out the direct link between it and the Ford Zephyr in your article.

The first-generation Ford Zephyr...

...was replaced in 1956 by the Ford Zephyr Mark II with 2553cc inline 6 cylinder engine...

...that was used to power the AC Ace 2.6 "Zephyr" after the supply of Bristol 6-cyl. engines dried up...

...a car that was later modified to become the awesome Shelby Cobra.

I saw one of those Bristol powered AC roadsters a few years back. What a beauty!

One of my favorite cars which I will never own. The Rover 2000TC

Yes the Rover 2000TC is a very special car. I guess it just doesn't look wild and funky like a Citroen DS or a NSU Ro80

safristi - those Bristols might be silicon powered!

The bent glass in that Bel Air would be ridiculous to replace....if you could find it. Cool design, but god help ya if it ever needed to be replaced. One with a nice 350 would make a good long distance car.
Lighten up Francis.....

I saw a wildly customized Mk II not too long ago at a the local car show. Sports Supra turbo power!

I had no idea.

Fiat Brava

My friends' parents had a 1974 131, the model that was later re-named Brava.  They had the only 131 in St. John's - I loved that car.  They also had a 124 coupe...
I'd rather be car-poor than house-poor...
