Isn't that like saying my car can beat your car 0-30?

Yep.  :)

I think these "what ifs" are great!  Sport Science has done some great shows on these!

Who jumps higher, NFL or NBA player?
Who hits a ball better, MLB or cricket player?
How far can a soccer player "bend" the ball?
Who hits harder? A rugby or NFL player?
What's harder to hit? And overhand or underhand fastball?
How hard do boxers punch?

Etc..etc.  Really a great science series...for those that love sports!
How fast is my 911?  Supras sh*t on on me all the time...in reverse..with blown turbos  :( ...

that we require individuals to support our athletes due to lack of funding as well as lack of a willingness to stand behind them when they are called out?

sadly... yes.

i liked the softball v baseball one... nothing against the women, but why wouldn't they use a guy for that one? hell, in one of my fastball(softball) tournaments we had one guy get clocked at 92mph. compare that to a hardball at the same speed... especially when not only is the ball rising due to physics, but they can actually emphasize the rise by another 4 inches or so!

The Paralympics have started and like usual there is barely any TV coverage.  I have found some 1 hr summaries which is pathetic.

 to the networks.

Wouldn't mind watching his races, anyone know if it'll make it on TV?

I didn't know he was racing, cool.

Have I ever told you about the day I was asked to do some pace setting for a hand cyclist training a few years ago. Didn't know him or anything about it but I did learn a lot. All they needed was a cyclist to the lead out and he would draft me.

We start out and I'm doing 25kph and he says faster....
Up to 28kph and I hear faster....
29...30...31...32...33....35kph....now that is good, hold it.

Got to talk the guy after about his sport and how hard it was, how fast they go, stuff like that. It really really exciting to learn about it. Sadly I don't remember his name (I forgot a lot of people's name though) but always wish him luck.

As to TV coverage, good luck. I found a 1 hr recap on TSN2 (?) and another on SN1 but don't remember the times.  So I setup the PVR to record everything with that name.

I was curious how fast he was and found out he won the NY marathon last year.

Quote
Zanardi completed the 26-mile marathon in one hour, 13 minutes, 58 seconds to beat more than 90 other racers, but it was not easy. He defeated runner-up Rafal Wilk by only two seconds

So an average speed approx 34.5kph or 21.4mph.  Very impressive.

That was the easy part, it was remembering to move my face every time the pedals came around.  :rofl2:
