So far,
2565 Km total, 2073 were EV. Remaining 492 Km used 29.2 L of premium fuel (5.94 L / 100 km)
Lifetime average 1.14L / 100 Km (29.2 L used on 2565Km) + 299Kw.h (less than $0.10/Kw.h)
Total cost : $42 gas + $30 electricity = $72 for 2565 Km or $2.80 / 100 Km total fuel+hydro.
This last overall cost was 2.8¢ / Km for energy only (all other expenses excluded). YMMV

299Kw.h / 2073 Km means 14.43Kw.h / 100 km or $1.44 / 100 Km @ $0.10/Kw.h or 1.44¢ / km energy cost on the electric mode only ....

EDIT
NB: I did not measure myself the above 299Kw.h total energy consumption, it was reported on myvolt.ca but it should be close, my Volt average between 4.5 to 5.2Kw.h (outside temp 15C to 25C) per 36Km way to my work every morning, so the 14.4Kw.h / 100 Km make sense to me because charging at 120Vac is not 100% efficient.

Too funny. What would have made it even more fun would be to have them in the lawyer's office lamenting about their poor performance and starting a class action suit because they can't drive as far as their brand of car says they can. :rofl2:

Existence = Lifetime avg 1L / 100 Km. Remember 230mpg in 2009 ? http://green.autoblog.com/2009/08/11/chevy-volt-gets-230-mpg-but-how/
Graph from http://www.voltstats.net/
ICE did not run at all in the last 4 weeks. Warm (not hot) temperature brings estimated range close to 84km (picture: 36Km driven + 48 remaining) but it never shows more than 80km once fully charged.
Volt driven miles almost reach 100,000,000 (63% EV avg) as seen on  http://www.chevrolet.com/volt-electric-car/

:thumbup: They never should have stopped producing them,especially in these times.

Apparently, they were losing $50K per Volt sold early on.  And the supply chain for EV component manufacturers was all over the place making sourcing difficult to stream line which also made profitability difficult.

That's not sustainable over the long haul.

I'm not surprised they lost money.  It's probably the best engineereed and best built vehicle they've made in the last decade.

They knew it had to be reliable.

Yea, I think there's some truth to that.
