I missed a great photo opportunity yesterday.  Still kicking myself.
We were out for a walk along the lake when I saw a frog sitting along the edge in some floating weeds, appeared to be the same frog that posed for me a few days earlier so I already had photos of him.  I decide to take a little closer look at him as I  noticed this strange snake-shaped stick in the water right next to him.  Instead of pulling out the camera then I took one step too many towards the frog, he jumped, the snake-like stick jumped, I jumped (a little), then cursed my having missed the shot.   The snakes head was not 6" from the frog when I scared him, but at least the frog lived to see another day.  The snake was probably pissed at me.

Take photos first, don't miss opportunities.

Doh!  I know the feeling.

Is that like finding out your telephoto lens was not long enough and walking on water was not an option.

Did you actually post a picture without 3 feet of snow in it?  :rofl2:

Great view!

Turn about 180d, and there was a large, snow covered glacier to be seen!  I thought the valley looked particularly nice...

Nothing very artistic, I'm afraid...but I found a freshly delivered CL-415 that's as shiny as a new Porsche :)

Tashi checking out a butterfly

Great capture, LasP!  Speaks to what others have just said... just shoot it, in case you miss it!  Love the angle, too.

Some shots from the British Car Day, wow what a turn out this year!!

God I want a Healey...

P.S. I know the first one isn't British, but it looked like the real deal to me.

Second hand British cars. Easy to buy, expensive to maintain, impossible to sell.

Nice shots, though.

Actually pretty cheap to maintain if you choose correctly.  The parts availability for MG'd and Triumphs is pretty amazing.

Here is my view, right now. There's a small spot of cell service at the high point of the Skyline Trail.
