Just picked up a Tim's coffee...the new dark roast, with milk...pretty good, tastes like Starbucks
Is that a good thing ?

It's a better things at least for us dark roast lovers.

Looks like they added Sumatran to their blend. Ours is roasted pretty dark and oily, one of my favourites so far, goes well with Cigars!  ;)

I haven't been paying attention, Bob, and I'm off both coffee and alcohol due to some undiagnosed GI issues. I'll be sure to buy when I'm back on the wagon.

Oh no, feel better soon!

So someone rented a place without going to see it or even meet the landlord?

Happens all the time for people moving to another city or province.

I can totally see it happening more often in the Maritimes.

Coming back to NB after half a decade in other provinces and many processes/procedures are at least a decade behind digitization etc... I was told realtors even have a repository of rental market information.

Add in a generally more trusting population and I can see this happening.

That damned Emergency Alert sound really needs to be changed to something less irritating.  So unnecessarily loud.  >:(

I was at the grocery store the other day when it went off.   It was everywhere, everyone's phone.   Cellphone shop was a bit loud

That whole system is dumb.  Except for the panic button on your car's key fob, never has an intended system meant to do so much good yet failed so miserably.

I went for a walk and got the "covid" emergency alert when I was exactly 1 km from my house. Thought it was funny and creepy at the same time.

But when did a covid emergency alert become an emergency?

I was driving last month when it went off with an amber alert, had the radio and my phone both reading to me in robotic non-synchronized voices.   Only thing I made out was the last bit, which told me it was in downtown Ottawa, why couldn't they lead with that as I'm nowhere near there.

I came out to "visit" in June and haven't been back yet! Coming back shortly to Ottawa but doesn't seem like the lockdown will end by the time I'm moved out  :'(.

I'll probably be in Ottawa a lot once the world goes back to "normal" so plenty of opportunities in the future for pints

Haha pretty sure I walked by this summer... saw your car but didn't think to text you then. We still need to get a beer... though we'll have to wait for the current COVID related stuff to end... whenever that is  :-\... Hopefully by the end of 2021  ;D
