Speaking of bank accounts, I was just depositing a cheque into my Simplii account using my phone.  Cheque was for $38.04, a dividend cheque (ie, all printed by machine).  Got a system message saying, ‘our system detects this cheque is for $30,000.00, you have entered $38.04.  Do you wish to deposit $38.04?’

I admit, I was tempted for a moment, to see what would happen.

On some great and glorious day the plain folks of the land will reach their heart's desire at last, and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron.

Well, while it would be ironically funny, and some might get a laugh out of it... it would still be inappropriate, much like it was when that jackass did it back in the 2000's.  And I definitely wouldn't have thought you were seriously considering it... but thanks for the laugh this morning  ;D

Also, can I refuse to work near the carbon black equipment at work as I might get covered in it and inadvertently become a racist?   (I have looked like that when things went wrong before)

We have CNC carbon cutting machines at work.

Nothing fun like that.   Carbon black is a major ingredient in rubber, it's basically soot.
We pneumatically convey it from trucks to silos to smaller feeder bins at the top of the rubber mixers, you can dump 200-300lbs of carbon black into a 800lb batch of rubber and mix and heat it to 300 degrees F within a couple of minutes.

It gets everywhere, it puffs out of the mixer occasionally, leaks from busted filters spray it like a powdery black fog eventually settling on every surface,   If you get a drop on your nose, you will immediately find it itchy and spread it all over your face.

Equipment kinda like this, but different:

Interesting.

Our carbon cutters run at 60,000RPM.  There's a vacuum system that thankfully sucks up the powder.  Despite that, you lean on anything near the machine and it's all over you.

We also use a robot to load the "carbons" (it's actually blocks of carbon graphite) onto the machine.

Train Derailment in Winnipeg.  It happened on a bridge over one of our busiest highways (Lagimodiere).  They closed the highway in both directions.  Traffic in the area is FUBARED.
And because it's a derailment, could take a while before it's cleaned up.  Luckily it all appeared to be grain cars, so no dangerous goods.
