I see that WestJet will be bought by Onex.
My diesel car self-identifies as an electric vehicle.

Someone is designing an airplane seat that is more of a stand / lean on thing.  Cant imagine doing that for any length of time.

Yeah, there are patents for those kind of "seating" arrangements. I don't think current safety standards allow for that kind of setup though.

In what world is this considered "necessary to properly equip the students"?

https://globalnews.ca/news/5272553/crown-appeals-acquittal-of-ex-violin-teacher-who-measured-students-bare-breasts/

Quote
They testified he touched their breast during this process and often would then have them play with their left breast exposed. Four complainants also alleged he took a plastic mould of their left breast.

WTF?

Quote
Trachy told his trial he had the complainants undo their blouse on the left side so he could measure them from collarbone to nipple but maintained he derived no sexual gratification from it. He also denied cupping or rubbing any of the complainants’ breasts, as some of them alleged.

Well if he derived no sexual gratification from it, all is good then.  ::)

Need to buy new summer tires. I try to support my town so I stopped at a shop that people say has great service.

The guy gives me one choice and it is priced about $250 more ($1000 vs $750) than I could get it for in Toronto. While I would gladly pay a little more to avoid the drive and support local, not that much.

I ask do you have any other tires? Nope, this is the only one that would fit your car. Ok, thanks.

You could split the difference...order online then get a local place to install it.

Or just do the 45 minute drive to Mississauga and pay less.  But first I'm giving my indy a shot to see what pricing they can get me.

Costco is at least $30/tire more expensive and that is with the 1 cent installation going on right now.  So $45+ per tire without the sale.

I was sitting next to an open window. I didn't know they were doing it. Bit of a jump on the first round. Never been downrange from a 105mm before.

Reminds me of my oldest kids high school potato gun project...link probably won't work being photobfucket, but maybe...action starts around 19 seconds in (sorry)

It worked!

And yes, they took it to school to demonstrate it's capabilities. No one but the two of them would've been able to get away with this - their air powered gun 2 yrs later was equally as epic. The potato cannon was powered by propane...and a spark plug.

Coming to the realization that I don't really need a car. I still don't have 1000kms on it.

It's unfortunate too, because it's by far the best car I've owned.

I'm in uncharted territory here, for me at least.

My problem (or close enough) and my solution as well.  Actually I still need a car but nowhere near as often as in the past.  That being said, I am still over the moon happy with my new car and don't regret buying it one bit.

I have no doubt that it's a growing phenomenon.  All it takes is time for people to realize that what they thought was true in terms of their lifestyle and attendant driving habits is perhaps no longer true.
