Put in a claim with VW last June for my door rubbing against the front fender.

Dealer messed it up, had personnel issues, and tried to make that my problem. Here we are nearing the end of March; they're now going to book an appointment to fix it.

Maybe I should have stuck with Japanese cars  ;D
Wait...it as rubbing from the factory? Misaligned?

Yup. I'll grab a picture after next carwash.

Looking at local auctions in the paper, there's an interesting one near Airbalancer.

I used to watch the occasional game when I could find that it was on, and I did watch the Clarkson Cup a couple of weeks ago.

It was interesting watching some of the US and Canadian Olympic team women playing with each other.  Also interesting is that there are several cases where a US Olympic player and a Canadian Olympic team player are married (ie, to each other).  I would think that would make an interesting dynamic.

I do hope something resurfaces out of this, it would be good to have somewhere for these really good players to continue playing at a high level.

Certainly agree with your last statement. I can't say I'm a connoisseur of women's sports but I really enjoy women's tennis and skiing. I also prefer women's gymnastics to the men.

I wonder why?  Could it be the eye candy?  ;D

I didn't until seeing the scorn across my timeline this morning of why I didn't support the women  ???

Pretty rich seeing this from Sportnet as well. I mean, why wouldn't they have put the ladies on primetime Saturday night or given them a huge TV deal or ran an ad or two if they wanted our support.  ;)

I feel terrible for the women but give me a break.

Yup, I had no idea either till I saw the CBC article throwing shade at hockey fans for not supporting this league.....kinda hard to support something I don't know exists. I enjoy womens hockey in the olympics, I would watch it without a doubt.
Lighten up Francis.....

Went to the Home & Garden show in Wpg today...yawn.  Don't need to do that again.  Kortney from Masters of Flip is better looking in person, and smaller too.  TV really does add pounds! lol
Waiting in line 25+ minutes to get a parking pass.  One friggin' machine to hand out tickets, ate one guys money and wouldn't give him a ticket, so he punched it and alarms went off.
I suggested to the guy in front of me as I saw someone leaving "should go ask that guy for his ticket" - so he ran up to the truck, and the guy gave him the ticket!  :banghead: Fack me.
Next car leaves a guy behind me runs up, pays full price, gets a ticket and gone.  I'm still 10 minutes or more to the dispenser...
3rd guy runs to a car leaving and same thing...FFS... ::) :P  :banghead: :bang:
At least it wasn't cold. Much.

I "sold" mine to some guy in a Tesla for 2 bucks...he had a Tesla...should've made him pay the full $5!
Now I can't find the toonie.  :'(

Went to Princess Auto for some E-Track...more exciting than the Home show...until we were done looking for what we wanted, and then there was really nothing to look at.  Don't need to go there again either. Not for a long time...another 50 yrs should be good.

Thought today would be appropriate to re-read Shake Hands With the Devil (Dallaire), after hearing him on Sunday Morning, but it’s turning my stomach, and I cannot possibly take any more.

^ I couldn't read it.

Around 6:30 Sunday morning I was looking out the window and noticed someone checking the doors of a Volvo XC90. Then the car next to it. Then they jumped the barrier into the parking lot of an adjacent building. A little while later the popo showed up and the person was given a ride downtown.

Apparently the cars are very rarely damaged, but unlocked cars will get rummaged through.
On some great and glorious day the plain folks of the land will reach their heart's desire at last, and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron.

When co workers leave their laptops unattended, I like to google search really bizarre random things (always suitable for work), so that their google ad feeds get filled up with oddball stuff.

There was a power plant manager I worked for who was pretty strict with people keeping their unattended workstations locked.

One day at lunch he noticed an unlocked workstation. He got on it and wrote a very, very nasty and crude email and sent it to his own email address. He went back to his laptop and responded with "See me."

To help frame it a bit, he was a tall, older German fellow with a face that looked mad regardless of how he felt.

The person who left the computer unlocked came back from lunch, noticed the emails and went to the manager's office. The manager was going to drag it out a bit, but the fellow looked like he was about to stroke out, so he explained what happened.

Never had an issue with unlock computers again as far as I know.
