Sounds like my sister. She plays Scrabble while doing  other things (e.g. reading a book / doing a crossword puzzle ) and still smokes everybody.

She said it was among the first board games she learned...and her dad NEVER let her win.

She NEVER lets me win either....

I used to play with my grandmother. She was pretty good, but I could give her a run for her money. It was frustrating, though, because she had memorized a whole pile of those ridiculous scrabble words, like coz, zax and zin. Words that nobody has ever heard of, and that nobody ever uses, but they’re in the scrabble dictionary.  :rofl2:

Kelly Catlin, 23 year old US Olympic medallist, died (apparently suicide), reports are that post concussion symptoms the root cause.

Scary as Fock.  Concussions are nothing trivial, and can have effects that last many years.

Mrs. Railton laid down 'Rendered' on her first round. She used all seven letters and thus scored an additional 50 points per Scrabble rules.
To answer your question Scott - Mrs. Railton had the 'Q' but Kate had 2x 'U's so that didn't go anywhere towards the end of the game.

I'm trying a new snuff called "Camphor and Clove". The camphor really opens the breathing...and then I smell something reminiscent of all spice.

It's interesting...

I see that the UK has grounded all 737 MAX flights into UK airspace, so the flight tonight from Halifax is now a A321 to Montreal and then a 787 Dreamliner across the pond.

Haven't read what/if anything WestJet is doing with their Halifax to Paris flight.

Taking a Macan S for a drive tonight. My buddy texted me to tell me that his parents had picked one up last week, and I asked which model it was. Next thing I know I get an email from his dad telling me to drop by for a drive and a beer tonight.

All the BS about the MAX right now is mostly all ridiculous knee jerk reaction.

Not really.  When planes crash and they don't immediately know why, it's a prudent thing to do.

It's not the first time this has been done.

Yeah, this isn't knee jerk at all. The earlier 737 models were the Corolla of the aircraft world, reliable and everywhere, logging 10's of millions of trouble free miles. This Max was released in late 17, if memory serves me, and has had 2 serious incidents. I would be very wary of flying on one.
Lighten up Francis.....

Right but still 1000s of flights that have been safe. Plus there a ton of misinformation out there - much of it being picked up by the MSM.

Yea, but air travel with a potentially problematic component isn't something they generally roll the dice with.

I've made aircraft parts before....if you make 1000 parts and a few of them are out of spec...you have to scrap the whole run.

They don't mess around in aerospace.
