The test failed in Quebec, so I'm not surprised.
In Ontario , it work on Rogers but not on Bell and Telus systems

Not sure where to put this... didn't wanna hijack KD's thread where I did mention that my ex's BF bought a manual 2014 Vette, but he doesn't know how to drive manual! LOL! Well, they picked up the car this evening & swung by here to show all of us the car (kids are with me tonight). WOW, what a car!!! Gorgeous inside & out... and he told me to take Bella (my GF) for a spin in it. Only did a quick small tour, but what a machine, drives awesome, smooth, not overly harsh, quiet... all the things my 951 isn't, lol! 7 speed manual is awesome, along with the paddles for rev matching downshifts! I imagine Vman's 1LE feels similar. So last night I got to test drive the SLK for KD, tonight a Vette & last week I was in a Ferrari on the track in Vegas, not sure I'll be able to keep this up! Here are a few pics.

The test in NB was tonight, I got it, but wife and daughter didn’t.

I’m on Telus, they are Koodo.  Who knows if that’s the issue or not.

Was at a crowded local brewery when the test came, was kind of funny to hear all the phones going off at once.

The test happened this afternoon here. I was in a meeting with a couple of others. Both iPhones got the message, but the LG didn't. I think we were all on SaskTel.

Happy he got it but a few comments from the forum Vette guy.

1) Wish it were Z51 package. Like the 1LE package IMO it's Z51 or bust.
2) Boo to those chrome rims
3) Competition seats would be nice

I am nitpicking - a nice ride, though. Like the colors!

He's not really a huge car guy, but this was what he was looking for. It has the 3LT package, so more of the grand tourer, but still impressive. The chrome wheels looked okay in person, tough call when you're buying used. The dealership was asking $49k for it & it had 72,000kms on it, so it's been driven! Not sure what he paid, but it was the cheapest 2014 that I could see out there Canada wide pretty much. He has an 87 Vette that he's going to get rid of now.

^ Nice 'cruiser' indeed.  Does the m/t still have the annoying skip shift?

Confused by this:
7 speed manual is awesome, along with the paddles for rev matching

It still does the skip shift from 1 to 4, but it seems that you can just push it into 2nd instead, even if you've accelerated gingerly. Go a bit harder & it's a non-issue.

So there are 2 paddles behind the wheel (like you'd have on an auto or PDK), but they say "rev match", so as you're executing a downshift you can hit the paddle, it blips the throttle for the downshift for you & you release the clutch. No need to do the heel/toe blip. It worked pretty slick when I tried it a couple of times.

Gurgie, you just hit the paddle to turn the auto rev matching on or off. You don't need to hit the paddle every-time you want to downshift.
Oh crap! That's what I was doing, lol! Oh well, I'll let him know... if he hasn't fully read the owners manual by now.

I see that Canadian Tire just bought Helly Hansen.  I didn't even know that Helly Hansen was owned by the Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan.

They own everything...even some companies that were staunchly anti-union which struck me as odd..hypocrisy is good if its for your retirement apparently.

They are also invested heavily in F1 (half a BILLION) and a 40 percent stake in MotoGP!

Windsor was the headquarters for the CAW. So there was always lots of press about them. And they used to slam foreign car companies in Canada all the time. Not just because non union...just because I guess.

But after Chrysler become foreign owned? Crickets....LOL

Stopped by my buddies shop today for a quick visit, some interesting stuff out front.
Then I go in and he's working on a Vantage.
