That's an interesting case.  Lucky for him, he died, so it's all academic at this point.
I would think it was lucky for the decision makers that he died. Not so lucky for him.
Nah...lucky for him, cause he wanted it that way as opposed to being hooked up to life support machines.

Guess it depends which side you're looking at it from.

I did not know stop signs were totally optional. Waiting in the car this AM while my youngest was getting a haircut (in Wpg), I watched traffic pulling up to a stop sign - a 3 way on a 4 lane residential street - and the only time anyone stopped was when there was another car that had right of way and was going to be crossing the path of the other.  And even then it was hardly a full stop.  Sometimes yes, but I'd say 95% of the time, no one stopped.  Roll up, look, nail the gas. Helluva ticket factory if they wanted.

Had me wondering if I even stop at stop signs in the city...gotta pay attention...I guess.

We are currently getting our first major snowfall of the season (10-15 cm is forecast).  It's Miss Peanut's first time in the snow, and I had a grand old time hooning all the way home (safely) with AWD and Blizzaks on a bunch of uncleared/unsalted roads.  This is my first AWD car, and I am blown away by the performance in poor driving conditions.

Yes.  Winter + AWD = I turn stupid, too.  I seem to get the back end out at every opportunity.  Accidentally, I swear.

CX-5 with the Blizzaks pretty awesome in the snow.
It'll even let you play & get the ass end out a bit before you can feel traction control gently nudging you back.
The Crosstrek would have a heart attack with the slightest hint of slippage... so annoying I always shut it off.

There was a Maserati Ghibli in the service bay at the Acura dealership this morning (dropping the X off for an oil change).  Shuttle driver told me a guy moving from Ontario owned it, bought an acreage here, and decided the Ghibli wasn't a good fit for him anymore.  The dealership owner bought out his lease and he bought a used F-150 off the lot.

The Outbacks were both fun, the stability control in the Crosstrek was too aggressive.

I think I might head back to AWD after the lease is up on the Passat.

Our Outback VDC lets you hang out the rear end enough to make you smile, then tucks it back in making you look like a hero.

The Cayenne allows little hooning until you press the magic button on the dash, then stand back for V8 goodness.
