Went out for lunch with a friend of mine. Showed me some of his dash cam video, he drives a big rig. Fack...people are stupid. I've always wanted to drive a big semi truck, even if only for a year or two. Who doesn't want to pilot a cool Pete? One was a lady making a left across two lanes, and stopped right in front of him for a bike crossing the road. Trailer full of cattle...was lucky no one was in the left lane as he managed to steer around her.
Another one was a semi a half mile or less ahead swerves into his lane and he has to take the shoulder to avoid a head on. Closer look zoomed in you can see a pickup ran a stop sign off a gravel road, actually hit the other semi as the semi yanked hard left to avoid a full driver side smoosh. Fack! That was close. Said it's happened to him too. 3 girls in a pickup truck came rushing up to the stop sign but dind't stop. Took the front of the truck right off. From the a-pillar on one side to the headlight bucket on the other.
Driving in his lane, construction zone, a red Accord pulls in from the right. He has right of way, but the Honda decides he wants in, and pulls in front of him and rides the brakes to get him to slow down!!
OMG I'd have wanted to run him off! Which, funnily enough (not funny?) he said he's done. Every time he tried to pass a car, they speed up, give him the finger, laugh, and then slow down again with oncoming traffic. Went on for a long time. Finally he had enough, and laid back. Built up some speed so he could get past and when they started to speed up beside him, just pulled right and drove them straight into the ditch. Why the hell would anyone mess with a loaded truck? Said when they passed him a while later, they no longer wanted to play games.
