Last night, daughter was at a school choir practice.  Practicing for the Christmas concert.

As soon as they sang the line 'To save us all from Satan's power', the lights went out.  Power failure in the downtown area.

I guess you should be careful not to tempt fate.

Brought ISF into dealer for recall.   They filled the tank when giving it back.   Not bad...

Haha, they only put 5 km on it.  I also just checked their work, a lot of people online complaining about broken wiring harness cover after the recall was done.  Mine is perfect.  Looks stock.    Happy with them.

They are great. I have a jacket I bought a few years ago and just got a hoodie to go with it. They take the same battery pack so the hoodie was only $99. A lot of people have them here.

Battery is not terribly big, but quick to recharge, and the jacket is very warm at the high setting. Extra batteries are cheap.

A co-worker has a Dewalt one, which has a 20v vs a 12v battery, and he can move it from the back to the front pocket. Looks like a newer design.

2-3 months ago my Dad was thinking of selling his 2008 Hyundai Entourage Limited.  But he was kind of disappointed with the trade in value.  I made him an offer, he said he was going to hang on to it for a couple of more years.  Meanwhile, my Odyssey recently has had quite of bit of work done within the past two months.  Rear brakes, rear struts, a/c condenser, tires, C/V boot, hinge for sliding door, $2500

Now, my Dad has changed his mind.  Looking at a Hyundai Veracruz.

So I am thinking about selling the Odyssey, and buying the Entourage off him.  Canada Black Book Value of his vehicle is around $6000 avg (trade in value), average selling price is $11000.  Canada Black Book Value of my 2005 Odyssey is  $6000.

Realistically, somewhere around $5k for mine.  Somewhere around $8k I suspect for his.

Pretty happy with the Odyssey.  But I know my wife would like the bells and whistles of the Limited Entourage.  And the newer feeling, and physical condition of the vehicle.

Something to think about.....

I'm a pretty big fan of this your Gen Odyssey. I guess the Entourage doesn't have the same tranny worries? How do the mileages compare? Also the Entourage has 6k maintenance intervals IIRC

I have to double check the mileage.  It is lower than average, as my Dad is retired.  The tranny worries are not as common on my gen Odyssey compared to the previous gen.  As for the Entourage, not 100% sure.  I will look more into it.  As for the maintenance intervals, that doesn't matter to me.  I don't follow the Hondas computer, every 8k for oil change.

Due to potential schedule issues, I only bought my plane tickets home yesterday. $1337 return to Moncton on AC. Westjet would have been a bit more with the added bonus of an extra stop in either Winnipeg or Calgary.

For only $600 more, I could have gone to London on the same days. For the same amount I could have spent 5 days in Vegas.

Usually around $1300 during the high season.  Why Madrid ?  More to do in Barcelona!
