It is, letter was at home.   I got the letter 3 months ago, I worry very little about these things.

I'm going to be in the area so figured I would drop the car off.

Want to punch dealer in face.

Can't schedule appointment without a VIN.   Oh f off I'll give you the Vin when I get there.

Had a recall on the Honda given to me last year.  Made an appt in the summer, no VIN required.  They said the needed the vehicle for at least 4 hours (fuel pump or something I forget).  Cancelled the appt the morning of (something came up).  Made another appt for the following week.  Cancelled again.  Finally was able to do it, a few weeks after the first call.  Only took me a year! Surprised they didn't ask or recommend any other service....

This is because sometimes OEM parts were different between early and late builds.

Took the vehicles in for tire changes this morning.  I normally do them myself but with the basement renos going on garage space is tight and so is my spare time.  Within half hour of dropping off my truck the shop called and said I need new rear pads and rotors ($480).  I said that's funny because this spring when I changed the tires over the pads had lots of life left and the rotors are fine.  Typical shop selling unneeded services.

Possible, .  I'll have a look myself.  I lubed the sliding pins this spring also.

I try to support local businesses when I can. So I stopped in at a tire shop a couple of people I know recommended. Asked for a quote on winter tires. Guy says WS80's, I say sure or something similar.

225/45/17

Comes back at $276 PER TIRE!

I then say something like....I already have wheels to which he replies, that is just for the tire. And then says we are having a 40% off sale. I look down at the paper he is writing on and I see $460/tire listed then discounted.

I was in so much shock from his inflated price I just left and had no response. These should be $200 per at most. Holly crap.

Subject: Ontario Courthouse (361 University Avenue, Toronto) Presently Closed

Please be aware that the Ontario Courthouse at 361 University Avenue is presently closed as a result of a military artifact that was found on a construction site at Chestnut St and Armoury St.  This has prevented our Mail employees from attending the courthouse to deliver, pickup and file documents.  For those attending hearings at this courthouse, please check before leaving as you will not be permitted to enter the building.

I will keep you updated on this situation.

"military artifact"?? Uhhhh...this is Canada, not Berlin or Stalingrad, it can't be anything too dangerous I wouldn't think.

"military artifact"??

It's probably a single, old button from a uniform of soldier from the war of 1812....
