Receive a voicemail, well part of one, "...if you have any questions, call 1800 668 6878"
Call the number, it's Bell, get through to mobility and they have nothing on file, transfer to internet as I have an order in for an install at the cottage.
Hold for about 15 minutes, finally get a human. I tell them Bell called me but couldn't manage to leave a whole message, so what do they want?
Them "Could you tell me what it was about?"
Me, "No, as I said, you called me".
After much rigamarole, they finally figure out it's to tell me when they are coming to hook up the service. I ask why they couldn't have left a whole message telling me that.
Them, "Our automated service can't tell when it's a person answering or an answering machine, so it just starts the message as soon as the line picks up"
Me, "Well, that's pretty useless and doesn't give me much confidence in a phone company that can't leave a proper message or tell when their own system's voicemail picks up, I know it's not your fault, but thanks Bell for wasting half an hour of my time".
