Feeling a little overwhelmed.  The everyday working isn't bad, it's all the other stuff.

Saturday - worked about 6 hours in the 30C+ heat.  Also had to do 2 hours of driving.

Sunday - More driving, went to visit my Dad in Fort Erie for some swimming.  Nice visit, but taking care of the kids in the pool, isnt exactly relaxing.

Monday - worked on a side job, ripped a 4 piece bathroom completely out.  Tub down the stairs into the trailer was not fun.  Dump run.

Tuesday - worked another side job, changed 4 light fixtures, added 4 ceiling fans, 2 3-way swithces, 2 outdoor lights.  Took the van in for service.  Brought my brothers trailer back to his house.

Wednesday - did 4 lawns in this 35C+ heat.  Windows being installed today.

Tomorrow - Day 2 of Window Installation.  Have to go pick up the new trailer.

Friday - Taking the van in for a 1 year old recall.  Another 4 lawns.

So hopefully next week: no sidejobs, windows will be done.  no cars to service, and the mortgage paper work will be all done (for the second time, had to be done over again, I wanted more money!)

Looking forward to just my lawns, housework, and the kids.

We all have those days where outside demands throw off the routine.  Hope next week is better for you.  Hang in there!   :)

I cut the grass, edging, and leaf blowing.  Don't take care of any weeds, fertilizer, or aerating.  Customers would usually only pick 1 or 2 of the latter, so I gave up after my first season.

^ While I appreciate all 3 selections.  There isn't enough value for me to do for only a small percentage of clients.

Also, I do 16 lawns, 10 of which are within walking distance of my house, if I didn't have the van.  But I usually just arrange to have the van that day.  I spread those out in 3 days (usually), 2 days if I want the other day off.  The other 6 are in Waterdown, 10km away, but 6 on the same street makes it worth it.  Usually do them in 2 days as well, plus I visit my sister in law who lives on that street.

I have people on wait list, but only 2-3.  Only worth to hire somebody else, if I have an extra 10 on that list.  Could easily do that.  Tricky part, is having them close together.  Thats where the savings really comes in.  So Snowy, next Spring, if I give you some business cards, and I get 3-5 on your block then its worth it.  And don't worry, up to 25% referral discount!

Thought I was somewhere in Scandinavia for a minute today...

Filled up at Shell with my MasterCard, and according to my receipt I paid 129,51 kr.  ???

I guess someone must have messed up the currency setting when they programmed the machine. It would be sweet if they really did charge me in kroner - that's like twenty bucks Cdn!  ;D

I cannot even begin to describe how frikkin' hot the shift knob in the Miata is right now!

So we can call you 'Hot Knob' from now on..?

The IS300 was like that.  Real metal.  We swapped it out first for a Delrin one and now a leather one.
I guess I did the opposite.  I got rid of the standard one for this polished metal Voodoo knob.  I like the weight and feel better.  It's much shorter than the stock one, so it effectively shortens the throws a bit.  Of course, after sitting in the parking lot at work all day in the heat we had last week, it was a little on the warm side.
