A freind of mine that owns a tree trimming company dropped over today to give me an estimate on some work I need done. He shows up in a beige 1999 Lincoln Continental with beige leather interior and all in very good condition. I see him out and around once in a while and he is usually driving his company branded truck so I had no idea he owned this. I asked him about it and he said he bought in 2003 as a low mileage trade-in from a local dealer and that it spent its winters in Florida.
Funny thing is that my father used to one in the exact same year and colour combo, spent every winter in Florida, and would trade in every 4 years for a new car. I think it's a very good possiblilty that it's the same car, which is pretty cool imo.
It is fwd, has the 4.6 V8 with over 380k on it now and said it has been a great car with no major repairs required and is still original. He uses it mostly for highway travel and takes it to Florida every winter when he shuts his business down for a couple of months every year, which was his initial reason for buying it in the forst place.
