Just saw a VW Routan......still confused as to why someone chose to spend more on a fake VW rather than save and buy a Caravan......

For the European sophistication. ;)

Anyway, as per the dipstick the Volvo came under-filled from the factory by about 0.5L, or its managed to burn through that in 1000km. I choose to believe the former.

To self-fill it or no?

I'd check it every week or 500 km and see what happens. I would not be surprised if it took until 3-5000 kms to stop using some oil.

It may not be a big deal. My sister had a car, forget which, that went through oil for the first few thousand km, then it settled down to pretty typical consumption levels ~ .5L every 5,000 or so.

On some great and glorious day the plain folks of the land will reach their heart's desire at last, and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron.

Twisted pair is to cancel external interference. But probably a different application of the same principle.

Ok - you guys are stressing my memory of Grade 10 through 4th year undergrad physics. Lets go back to insulting each other ok.

I thought the twisted pair was for the effect of having the capacitance cancel out the inductance in the run of wire.
Yup.

Had a fantastic two hour meeting today with the Business Development Bank of Canada.  Because of the craft beer industry being in such a boom, and the fact that I'm an existing business and not a start up, funding won't be an issue whatsoever.  Just gotta continue working on my financial projections and business plan.  The main hurdle for me right now is to decide on where I will be building my brewery.

That's a great idea and perfect location! You can't get much closer to Hammond River than that and it is a fairly large building with a full basement level.  Would make for an awesome location for retail as well.

It might be time to put my little buddy down.  He's been meowing all weekend, doesn't want to eat and is now sprawled out in the shower.

He's almost 20, sad to see him go.

Yeah we thought he was done a few months ago,  but he keeps hanging on.

But he's really getting small now and all the meowing can't be good,  he must be in pain.

He's such a cute ball of fur and we love him so much,  but eventually we should do what's best for him.

Nothing, not going to ask again.  Last time it was $300 in tests just to say "Yup, he's old"

There's only so much they can do, and we aren't willing to spend a ton of money at this point just to keep him alive.  Really it's for us not for him and that's selfish.  If it is his time, I think we should let him die happy IMO.

Going to give him some hugs and cheese and steak and let him enjoy his remaining time.
