With $310k vs $15k/yr insurance he should just buy a house closer to work. Can't imagine Metro Detroit real estate is too pricey.

Hope they follow up on this story as I'm curious what he does with the money. I agree with moving closer to work and I'd also trade the Taurus in for something more fuel efficient.

My brother snapped a pic of this in a bathroom today.  He rightly points out that if you score a 5 or 6, hydration is probably the least of your worries.   :rofl2:

Power went out at 9:30 PM due to some idiot losing control of his car and hitting one of those boxed ground-level transformers at the end of my street.  With overnight temps dropping to -14C, it was a bit concerning.  Power just came back on.

On a side note, it's nice to be a hiker.  Power out, and it's dark?  Your trusty headlamp is a beautiful thing.  Fack those stupid candles - LEDs strapped to your forehead rule!   :D

Good one!  :thumbup:  Several years ago we were cutting wood on a friend's property when a Llama came clomping down the trail nearby.   :o  We found out later that there is a farm nearby with quite a few so it must have got loose, but talk about surreal.  WTF is that..???
