If it is classified a LEEDS Gold building , they need to have the furniture installed a month before it is open, and increase the air changes per hour for the month

Canadian Tire does that to me, at certain times of the year.  When they get new tires, maybe?  Same with Hiker's Haven, with all the vinyl and plastic gear.

Is this a thing or not a thing? #looksdangerous

I think it's a thing. We even had a thread here: http://www.autos.ca/forum/index.php?topic=87635.msg992213#msg992213

Looks good (and safe enough, IMO) but probably not that useful. Most of the work I seem to do on the car involves pulling off wheels, so these stands would be useless. Would be good for oil changes, but that's a lot of work for just an oil change (I usually just nose up on a curb and squeeze myself under).

The new radio ad for the local Hyundai dealer begins with a skit about how the new Korean free-trade deal has made their vehicles much cheaper.  I actually had to check to see if I was actually listening to CBC's This Is That... :o  It certainly rubbed me the wrong way.  Not sure if this is a good strategy, or not... :-\  Be interested in NR's thoughts on that... ???

In that case, Rhino Ramps are the way to go.  I love mine.

For oil changes, ramps are by far the easiest way to go.

Funny you should say that. My wife noticed the same or similar spot on the radio at home this morning and asked if it's true that Hyundai dropped their price to reflect the savings as a result of the trade deal. I don't know if they did reduce prices and if so, if it's a result of the tariffs being lifted. But if it is, it's too good of an opportunity to not promote. It does have a limited shelf life though because the new Hyundai doesn't want to be promoting low price forever.

To me it just reminded me of how bad of a idea this trade deal was in the first place.  At least in my opinion and maybe quite a few others that are like minded and potential customers.  Maybe I've just never noticed before, but this is the first time I remember a company using what is essentially a political decision as a means for advertising a product, and a car at that.

Maybe if it had said "As a result of this fantastic new free trade deal we are building a new Canadian manufacturing facility and creating thousands of highly paid NEW jobs while saving YOU money" it would be more to my liking.  ;D

$12,500 for a new Elantra is a helluva deal...even if it is the base model.

My wife just read an article online at CBC that states the outgoing CEO at Target received a package that is greater than the combined severance of all 17,500 laid off Canadian Target workers.  :o

Not sure this is correct but holy inequitable irony Batman.

The dumbass former CEO of SaskPower who pushed for the purchase and installation of faulty smart meters landed a job as chief of Bermuda's Regulatory Authority (telecoms and power).

In other news, I hate evening classes.  I get home at 10:30 and cannot, for the life of me, fall asleep until well after midnight - which means I'm less than sharp for our weekly Friday morning client meetings.  #elevenmoreweeksofmisery

Teacher is awesome, and so is the very modern University of Toronto campus, though.  I am thoroughly impressed.  The last time I took classes was at a well-worn college, and the facilities were horrible - summertime, and the A/C was rudimentary, at best.  Really?
