From what I remember you don't really need it, so you can focus on the interviewers and if you and the job would be a good fit.

Had my best interviews when that was the case for me and I could focus on the needs of the interviewers/job. Oddly would usually get the offer then.

Had my interview.  It went very well, but I don't think I'm getting the job.  For the last half hour, we just sat around chatting about various things, and he came out and admitted that I was always a long shot, based entirely on my lack of experience.  HOWEVER, he appreciated my interest in the position,  and was receptive to the fact that I am shooting for a leadership position within this company in the future.  He said there are definitely ways that we can bolster my skills and experience, and while I might not be branch manager outright this time around, he wants to put me on that path.

I always knew I was going to be a very tough sell, and honestly, I think it went better than I could have hoped.

If you don't get this one, management now knows you're interested.  That's a plus.

Sounds like at the very least it has put you on the path for a bright future.  Glad it went really well and ended up a positive experience even if you didn't get the job.

Coming home from Wpg this afternoon, and suddenly see in the northbound lane an Escape is being forced into the ditch by...a hitchhiker??  Appears he walked across the lanes to get in this guys way and to avoid killing him he swerved off the road...not so far he couldn't get out - looked like he was struggling but making progress...and the guy who "ran" him off the road just carried on down the shoulder with his bags of stuff like nothing happened.  Wonder that that was all about.
