That being said, we toured a Concorde once, and that thing looked like a nuclear powerplant inside.

Believe they had a flight engineer to monitor everything along with the pilots

Weren't flight engineers quite common on larger planes up until the '90s or so?

That's kinda frakked....but it also sounds like she called 911 needlessly. 
Should have got the person who hit her car to do it.

Remember at ski racing watching the firetrucks come to the bottom of the hill repeatedly one evening, lights and sirens going full bore. Just kept coming again and again

Very lucky that pole was there.  My weight would have pulled the pole away from the building and I would have crashed to the ground.

Still nice to see the Volume control on the BBC Video player goes to 11.

Odd question - I had some religious folks or whatever these people are called, leave a bible on my doorstep. I was at work and Mrs. Hire didn't hear the doorbell, but found the book.

I have zero interest in religion, but feel bad throwing the book out, because it's a Bible of all things. What does one do with it? Obviously if anyone here wants it it's yours; I'll even cover the shipping.

Donate it? Drop it in one of those clothing boxes. We did that with toys the kids grew out of. Figured they'd give them to someone else who could use it.
