Facta Non Verba

Action: Porsche fund set up, $2,000 $3,058.19 $5,058.19 $6,058.19 deposited.

Took a 2015 Edge Titanium home last night.  Wife decides she doesn't like Edge's anymore.

Picked up my car at coffee break...damn...I still love my car.  It's pretty.  It goes like I want it to go (of course I wouldn't mind another 50 horses).  So fun to drive.  Why don't people want to drive cars?

Okay, this is cool:  I follow Mike Patey, an entrepreneur, serial inventor, and pilot who builds planes in his spare time.  He modified a Wilga bush plane, replacing the standard 150hp piston engine with a 600hp turbo-prop.  Anyway, he and some ace wingsuit flyers achieved something which had never been done before, which is fly a plane and a wingsuit in formation, to the point of actually grabbing a wingtip.  Really cool stuff:

I saw a video of a walk around of that bad boy, that is some serious ass bush plane. PT-6 is the only way to go for something that needs reliable, brute force.

He just crashed and wrote off Draco today... :(  One of a kind aircraft.

:) maybe...

Actually, I have a question for you, and others close or in Quebec. I'm noticing that in Quebec, there seems to be an above average number of well spec'd and interesting Porsches at reasonable prices. By well spec'd and interesting, I mean lots of base manuals, interesting colours, and generally enthusiast type ones.

I get that we should be weary of used Quebec cars (i.e. salvage), but is there anything else Quebec specific to look for?

They are generally a bit cheaper in Quebec, that's for sure. Salvage would be the main issue to look for, and like with any used vehicle a good maintenance history & PPI! The PPI is essential for a used 911, either by a Porsche dealership, or a good indy that knows what to look for.

At 47 now, I got my first pair of reading glasses today.  I only need them for reading small print, but it certainly seems weird having to wear glasses now.

Yep, I've been there for 10+ years now. I buy readers from Amazon in boxes of 10 and stash them everywhere. (cars, boat, throughout the house etc etc)  ;D
