One part of my job (that I hate) is bulletins. We do lots of bulletins. However, there is one thing about these bulletins that never fails to entertain:
My boss (a senior VP) always starts them. He adds a couple of paragraphs with the usual background...reason for the change, alignment with our 4 year strategy, bla bla bla...then sends it to me.
This guy can't write to save his life. Without fail there will be at least a couple of sentences that will short circuit your brain.

"Recognizing our focus on becoming a more significant focused organization"

I need to put these in a book. He gives me tons of ammo.

I used to travel to large companies in the US to find manufacturing cost savings.

I was shocked at some of the stupid

Corporate speak....the kind of stuff that, if you question the person spewing it, THEY don't even know what it means. Something I really don't miss after leaving a publicly traded company. Less BS, more getting things done!

Off duty officer beats up crossing guard. Ok, I'm embellishing the title but this is just beyond stupid.

Even if the crossing guard did bang on the car, was there really any reason for an off duty cop to arrest him. Thinking somebody is very high on a power trip.

Looks like I was wrong...in the local paper yesterday, apparently the first weed bust in Canada came at 12:35 - a couple of 18 yr olds in this town were stopped for a traffic (haha) infraction and both had illegal black market (well duh!) weed on them. Small "Mennonite" town...whodathunk!?

Cops let them off easy with a $200 ticket. Could've been a lot worse. Wonder how high up on the totem pole their parents must be.

A couple of young Entrepreneurs in the works. My Daughter has been making spent beer grain Dog treats for over a year now that have been for sale in my bar. She makes them, they sell out. My Son has recently been helping her out (for a cut of course

), to help her keep up. She regularly pulls in $150-$200 per month so it's been a nice little business for her........especially as an 11 year old. She often doesn't feel like making them as it's a 3 hour process, but she loves having a "pay cheque" every week.

Hahaha, Abbey definitely gets some for sure. Although Ava doesn't like giving her too many as it cuts into her profits.
